Similar to the STI brembo and identical in rotor size, since you will need the evo's 5x114.s and hub clearance, the EVO 8/9 brembo upgrade.
Stock BMC. Pedal initially had a little more travel that I liked. I put new pads on and it helped. Just did the Rear brembos w/ss lines this week and it feels very very good.
The above picture shows the work required to get it to fit. It was not as easy as putting R32 brakes on an S14 and this bracket was designed for the S-chassis. Interchangeable my ass.
Here is where it hits.
rim1 - Advan SA3R with a +45 offset - eww
rim2 - R34 GTR +30
rim3 - Te37 +22
You'd expect the TEs to clear with room to spare right,it's one of the best rims by design and weight out there. However it does not. It's more about spoke design. It's unfortunate though at Advan doesn't make a fully forged wheel. Every advan style I've used has cleared in the highest offset even.
SA3r clears
R34 clears
the almighty TE37
This is a custom setup though. The car the brakes came off, the evo9 with the same wheels would clear. But because of the bracket and spindle design we're using it does not.

Great post! I wish I seen that diagram before I did mine lol. I didn't need to trim the bottom of my knuckle probably my adapter design (skull works I think) I used the Evo 9 caliper as well and I've heard the Evo and sti uses the same caliper but the Evo uses a 32mm rotor vs the sti witch uses a 30 mm. The difference being the sti pads are a but thicker to compensate, somthing to think about when getting pads for sti calipers being that its using the 32mm rotor. I plan on the rear in the future as well did you feel a pedal difference when the rears are on?91 gtr , 93 rx7 type r and a multicolor 240 スカイライン

Yes the bracket design allows for a little more give. I was using the TougeFactory set. I prefered to cut the non essential parts of the knuckle instead of compromising the bracket.
Yes the pedal feel is much better balanced now. I want to get that Stagea260RS BMC though to send some more stopping to the back.
The rears:
Yeah I used the same brackets on my S14 and did not have a centering issue. Weird.

I REALLY hate the idea of spacing rotor from the hub, it just doesn't seems right!!!
Do you guys both using this TougeFactory brackets?
Also, have anyone did an STI calipers swap? Proved with pictures? I read here that STI and EVO are looking to be the same but still would like to make sure for me and everybody else that it is indeed true!
(Edit: Yes they are the same! I found a thread with both calipers being tested on S13/S14 knuckle - CLICK )
And just to recap you guys both using EVO Calipers/Rotors???? What generation EVO?Last edited by tryingtobebest; 04-20-2013, 01:47 PM.TTBB is a true ACN member

For a show or look you want to use 04-07 STI rear calipers as they suppose to be direct bolt on! No grinding or bracket required! And i belive you have to use EVO8/9 rotors??? For the correct offset? Also R34 N1 rotor might also work!? (Please correct me if im wrong)TTBB is a true ACN member
