R34 Conversion on R32

So if i get the full conversion (hood, bumpers, fenders side skirt) would i need an R34 trunk or would that not fit properly? Just an R32 trunk?

I think you also need an R34 rad support. And as for the trunk Im pretty sure you need to custom fab the R32 trunk to make the R34 tail lights fit.

From what I've seen an R34 conversion's not that simple, as the parts are not just bolt-on.

I haven't been able to find it back, but I had seen a write-up on how this one was done and it looked...fun:

I wanted to go that way some time ago. The $5000-8000 and up cost turned me away. You won't have a fast car but it'll look somewhat nice (the lines don't look right when it's done).

I thought about doing this as well, but unless you do the rear too like MWRacing did, it just looks off. The front and the rear just don't flow well. It does take a little bit of modifying the radiator core support to install the kit, but it's not THAT difficult.

If you do the rear you will need the metal oem rear quarters, tails, 3rd brake light, trunk, light backing plate, a good tig welder, and one he'll of a body guy. The door lines will not match up with the rest of the car and it will look off. For the money you will put into it I wouldn't bother when they will be legal within the next few years anyways and that money could go towards buying one of them. I did it because it was something to do and it completed my already converted front end. In the long run though if I would have spent that money on a nice paint job and internal work for my engine I would have had a quick reliable car that would also look badass too. I would really think about this

ive seen one done in toronto and it didnt look to bad.. it was a flat black one but only the front looked like an r34 the back was an r32 still.. but wasnt bad looking IMO

It looks just plain awful. Even MWRacing who did the full conversion with real R34 panels said it only looks nice when viewed from a distance...lol

That's me most likely... I've finished the rear end as well.. so the whole car is converted to R34 took me 4months and 4gs...

i'm doiing the same with mine, but if i put a rb26 in it, will i need to extend the front? ( the rb26 is something like 4 inch longer if im right), also, do you know if the r34 will be legal to import in quebec ( canada ) sometimes?
