I have seen a ROTA crack right in front of my eyes. I have not seen, in person, a Volk do that yet. I understand things do happen. But if it happens in front of your eyes, you feel it is real.
So, My recommendation is to stay out from Rota rims, while you may recommend to buy them since Volk cracks too.
Maybe things like these happen because of extreme temperature changes? Anyways, AFAIK Rotas are quite durable. They have that impression here, the downside though is they're heavier vs. popular JDM brands. They are used in competitions so I think they have proven their durability. Maybe some of us are just unlucky enough to get those wheels out the factory (either RAYS, Rota, BBS, etc.) that has sub standard quality. Just my 2 cents.
You can buy 3-4 sets of Rota's compared to 1 set of te37's
It depends on the person. I am cheap, I would much rather save my money for other things (such as, school, beer, food) than a set of rims that will just give me something to boast about and maybe a little bit of weight savings lol.
Guys, I've been on the rota site and there's some nice choice.. P45 r2 look great but i wonder how deep is the lips, I think I prefer P45 over the grid and there's more choices too. Now, I need to browse the internet to find black GTR with the time attack color scheme ( red outer lips and flat black rims) or some hyper black/charcoal style with a little polished rims.. hard choice loll
