Lol, this was a de-tuned set-up. Not the set-up that ran 9.4s 1/4mile or how I bought it. The car was put back to it's original state after the Irish guys bought it and then I bought it off them.

This is why I stated that it was the specs when sold back in feb 2009. A LOT can happen in 2 years. lol

I checked the RKtuning web site, and found good info on the car, but only up to 2004.

Sick! lol and to think they inspections are questioning my deleted ABS and brakes lol. SICK car. So I gotta ask, why didn't you start with a fresh stocker and build from there? It's nice to buy a nearly complete car but they're unmatchable pride in seeing it from start to finish. Hope you don't get bored too quick. Congrats on a badass drag car!

My buddy had his GTR modded in '06 and it was probably the fastest GTR in Alberta at the time. He still has it, but I know of atleast one GTR pushing more HP than him now.

Lol, my friend's and I argue about this all the time. Some agree with me and some don't. I prefer to buy one mostly built and add to it. I think a car is never finished.

Building a GTR like this would cost a fortune and it's very time consuming.

I don't think you can get bored of this, lol. I consider myself a car guy. I got 4 cars...9s supercharged Mustang, 10s eg civic, GTR, and Acura cl-s winter beater. I didn't buy this to screw around, and I am not content at keeping this a 9s GTR. I got high goals and expectations.

To answer a question you had earlier, I run 94 octane and 109 when I need to, but even on 94 I go as high as 32psi.

As I posted in his other thread he made, to be the fastest Canadian GTR IMO it needs to have been built in Canada by a Canadian. Buying a built car an importing it and calling yourself the fastest Canadian GTR does not fly by my books. Not to say it's not a wicked car... it is but I want to see some GTRC members GTR builds running in the 9's. I know there are some out there that can but because a lot of us don't really give a rats ass about drag racing since there are no corners then we will never know.

Falcon you probably know the gtrc member sr20gt30 I think his user name is ? He's located in Montreal I believe. Anyways his car was built in Canada and tuned by almasi. Made just over 650whp and he has bureau all over you tube running 9's in street trim. He has a cage but he also says he has full interior and a 5 speed still not a sequential box. Are these the only 9 second cars in Canada ?

I think they are the only verified 9 second cars. There are a lot of people, myself included who don't drag race and most likely never will.

I'll be happy in 11s with my stock gearbox. Any faster I'd either break my box or get kicked off for no cage.

If a skyline or any other jdm is imported into canada and gets certified/inpected and is okayed to drive on our roads, is it considered a canadian car in my opinion.
Who cares where a car is built. If it is now in canada and is registered and legal, then it is a canadian car. If there are faster cars out there, then nobody else is saying. If you dont have dyno numbers or a run down the track, can it. (put up or shut up).
