The NGK coppers Br7ke or w.e the number is (someone mentioned it a few posts back) are my choice. Cheap and effective, I've had some problems with iridium plugs, not to mention they are about 2x the amount.

I gapped them to .8 and cylinder 6 lost the tip. I was worried I Might have wrecked something so i did a compression test and it was good. I went with the v power coppers gapped to .8. Seems to be fine, pulls normally.1992 Skyline GTR - Garage Queen

Racing plug ( the real ones, not the ricer ones) cost over $60 each but it's uber tough to foul and they are very strong.Originally posted by DarkCaporaL View Post70$ for one spark plug what the hell was he trying to sell you.
A set of 6 nismo plugs are around $150.
Iridium are overrated. I fouled more of those than I did copper Vtips. I use NGK coppers, $30 per set gapped at 1mm for max powah!Last edited by Bruizer; 06-23-2011, 09:07 PM.No build thread.

So you gapped them to 80 thou.? As in .080" and not .8mm? If so, that is WAY to big. In imperial you want 25 thou. or .025" in metric you want .8mm.
I run AutoLite AR3923 copper race plugs in my car and will light the fire up to 1.3bar and 600hp gapped at .8mm. Cheap as hell too, about $3.70 each.

I got sick of misfires due to blowing out the spark. I got sick of fouling plugs. I got sick of worrying about heat range, and being nervous about tips breaking off. So I went with these:

I have Splitfire coilpacks and an HKS ignition amp, which does seem to help. Not many people seem to have followed my lead on this, but I will say that I've run four years without even having to think once about my ignition, or having to change plugs, and I've never misfired since. Since they have no delicate electrode, they just need a good hard scrubbing every year or two. Surface gap is THE way to go.1991 R32, 2860-5 turbos, build documented on gtr.co.uk, 700bhp on 110RON and 1.9 bars boost.

I ran those surface gaps and they worked good once the car is running but starting wasnt as good as conventianal plugs. On the plus side they ran good for 2 summers without switching them but eventually starting was a huge pain. Never a miss or any ignition break-up and I ran them up to 21psi with a gt4088r and water/meth.
In the end I'm not going to bother buying them again. coppers are so cheap and everytime you switch them it gives you an idea of what was happening inside your engine.Last edited by Super_Dude; 09-18-2011, 05:20 PM.

that's interesting; I've never had any problems starting...but I do have those ignition upgrades. My car's in storage at my parent's house at the moment, and my mom's been starting the car once a week to keep the battery charged and just to keep the fluids flowing. My mom is 65 and completely incapable of anything mechanical, so it must still be working fine!1991 R32, 2860-5 turbos, build documented on gtr.co.uk, 700bhp on 110RON and 1.9 bars boost.
