A #2 welding cable (high heat resistance so you can load into it) would have been the very very minimal safe limit and you could have saved some weight. Overkill but you'll NEVER have issues lol. Atleast you're not too worried about weight loss.

yah, I went a little overboard on the cables....there #1 gage.... I could have went with only 1 #2 gage power but I had some badddd experiences with wires melting and fire..... Mabey down the road when I am ready to race it I will pull the wires out and go smaller. I'm also going to put some carpeting back in, it's still going to be a street vehicle for a while so I mine as well make it a bit more livable.

I'm still going to lighten the tank up a bit so I don't have to do it in the future.

    • Got the tank lightend up a bit.

Got the car back together and running this weekend!!!! Lots of little things to do still, I have to wire up my signal lights to m parklights and they arn't working. I cut the wires going to the park lights and wired in the wires going to the signal lights. The car thinks there not there cause the back ones now blink twice as fast.

Also does anyone have any experience with an Aeromotive fuel controller? I wired it all up, and it doesn't work. The lights on the controller don't turn on, and the only way to drive the car is to switch the pump on full, bypassing any fuel control...

Pics of the fuel tank being plumbed. There Still is a bit more to cover with the aluminum sheeting.

      • Looks good, just a piecce of advice, try to find another quick release with all the big bucks going into it buying that is kinda cutting a corner, I use this one on my GTS T and removed it due to poor quality, the plastic white piece was cracking, the horn button did not sit even though I bought a super thin one still would not work, and it seems to get corroding or something cause I always see bits of shaved metal I would be weary of it man. I took mine out and an dissappointed with the money I wasted on it

Which one did you buy?I have the same problem with my horn, I figured that I could use a piece of 1/4" aluminum spacer to get the horn to fit.* But the plastic white piece cracked, from driving?* What kind did you use?
-JBNR32- I have -8An supply split into two -6an feeds to the rail, with a -6an return which I increased to an -8An to fit onto the tank fitting.

Still having problems with the pump controller... please

              • It's been a while since I've updated my build, but I did get the car running no problem before winter and got to drive it a bit

But unfortunatly when my buddy was tightening the bolt for the drivers side seat belt to roll cage bolt he busted out the drivers side rear quarter glass, so I gotta order a new window.

 Ohhhhh, words can't describe how fast I would buy that car. Too bad I'm already in the process of bringing a gtr over from Japan... dang, cant afford to buy two... Just sell it to someone in the Frasier Valley so I can oggle it.

                        • why not take your other 1/4 panel window out and putting abrassion resistant lexan in its place? there is a fair amount of weight to be saved

Any ideas where I could get lexan like that? or cost? I figured to get the back window done as well would cost around a grand.
