If it truly is blowby then a catch can won't resolve the problems!

      ^ exactly!
i will get a catch can anyway, because some blowby is pretty much inevitable... but i still need to figure it out.
did the compression.. got some low numbers i.e. 110 accross the board, but did a wet compression test that showed rings sealing properly. my guess is the head is all nasty from running so rich, probably valves not sealing right. dont think its head gasket.

maybe it would be worth your time to try a seafoam treatment?... if the motors finished or close to it anyways, seak foam might help a bit for removing the gunk in the head if u suspect head gunk.

Got the fuel pump in today.

Also.. in more epic and exciting news.. I fixed a boost leak i had been having after cleaning all the piping, and took the car out for a rip. the car ran well.. didnt seem to be running too rich either.. perfectly actually. So me and my buddy did a compression test..

Got 155-155-160-162-167-167! much more relieved now.. its strange, but i guess the valves really were all gunked up.

Things are looking really good now. just need to figure out if its the turbo seal thats going or if its obstructed return lines.. But either way, she's ready for the tune at almasi on monday. Hoping for epic numbers.
          stay tuned.

i'm Just happy i get to do less work under the hood, and more of this:\

So marc (nelsonmxmarc) and I headed to almasi tuning on monday morning to get our cars done.. Almasi is a great guy and does great work, i recommend him to anyone in the montreal / surrounding areas looking to get work done.

Early start to the day @ 7:30 am

Finally made out way to almasis place after a nice little drive.. and minimal traffic, thank god.

                  Getting it all set up:

While taking the wheels off, this happened. I have no idea how, i guess the guys who mounted my tires overtightened them.. brutal.

                  Getting to work

Some nice numbers.. a little rough though... getting there

annnnddddd finally leading to this. My final run pulled 450 whp and 380 Wtq @ 20 psi and the powerband is smooth as hell. Im sure i can pull quite a bit more out of this thing.

What a difference compared to before!!!!! The thing feels like it pulls harder in 4th than it used to in 3rd... I was shocked. The acceleration puts a smile on my face again

Still have a few issues to work out. i have one dead o2 sensor and I think the tps could definitely use replacing. So i'm going to get some new sensors, and a few other parts, then she'll be done for the summer.

Plans for the rest of the year are:
                  Coilovers
                  SS brake lines
                  Catch can
                  Hard intercooler / intake piping
                  Hicas lock out
                  Misc bodywork + aesthetics

The car's really coming together now.. Way worth all the headaches + near heart attacks lol

                  Stay tuned

hey man, good stuff on the car!

i placed an order for a bunch of O2 sensors through warren at autoworx, give him a call tell him you want in on the buy,... they're $140 per sensor... cheapest price ever! ive ordered 2. ... one of mine is broken also, like you..lol so i figure replace both before the other one goes too

Remember the rb26 has two different o2 sensor connectors .One has the rectangle connector like the one ams has and the other is square shapped!
