  • no pics mate, but the hks dll has 7 wires, the 6 yellow go one to each coilpack feed, you piggyback them to the original wire,do not cut the original, and the the other wire, white i think goes to ignition feed, this is of the top of my head,5 years since i fitted it, i put the unit near the o/s wing, near the brake servo on a r/h drive motor, expensive kit but been worth every penny, i also run ngk bkr iridium plugs for reference..bernie uk

    • are you still using the coilpack cover?
or you can't because you need access to the individual coilpack plug from the outside?

            • hmm so i read through this and saw u had issues with hood fitment even with lowered motor mounts due to the rb30 and also strut bar fitment theres a solution ive not seen used much but using even lower motor mounts and cutting a section out of the subframe and boxing it in this also helps with handling a lil bit as it lowers your center of gravity. just a suggestion dunno if its plausible in your use

                      • Nice Okada coils. The second GTRCer to use em, most likely few due to cost and the use of them normally not needed under 800hp. way over kill but so is most of your car for the power you're making Atleast you can hit the show and shines, not just the drag strip.

                        • I read through the entire thread and your build is amazing ! Have always loved the RB30, miss the days of cruising around in Australia in the turbo VL commodore's. I couldnt find any info on your gear box , clutch and diff's that you are running ? what kind of gear box are you using to handle all that power ?

                          cheers

                            • I think the tranny and diffs were stock. Not 100% certain though. Judging by the uber parts in here though, it would be fail with stock gearbox and diffs lol. Like a chain with 1 link that had muchl lesser quality, the chain will bust.

                              • I hope it's not stock. When I was contemplating going rb30, I was told that using lower engine mounts can lead to serious drivetrain problems.

Judging by the build I think he knows what he is doing though.
