Yeah I wouldn't turn down a rips block for sure! I just don't think I could afford it Lol. We will see how long my engine lasts lol. like I said can't wait to see the numbers you put down.

no worries, i am using custom mounts, shorter by 1.5 cm, not a lot but trying to get what i can, and if i go lower the oil pan will hit the frame and rub constantly. and i have a buddy that put an RB26 in his 240, but an RB30 is a whole 1.5 - 2 inches taller than an RB26.

i think i might do the whole JDM hood prop thing with the washers.

still might have to cut a piece of the hood frame to clear timing belt cover.
        we'll see

this is how it looks from underneath

i know it kinda looks like there is still space to go lower, but there isnt, i cant even stick my finger in between the oil pan and the sub frame

Yeah I was looking at that too but if you think about the angle of things if you raise one side the other side will almost be at a sharper angle leaving less room at the front end. max parts actually makes super high hood prop inserts lol.

that's not gonna work because where it is hitting or going to hit is in the front where the valve covers (FRONT) part !!!

I would love to see an enhanced cowl like I mentioned.

Otherwise (depending on what you like/your style) you could cut a hole exposing the valve covers. You could fab up a peice of shaped plexi-glass or clear plastic that will provide you clearance and look pretty cool... You could even shape it to be similar to the existing lines of the hood and then have it tinted so it matches the color of your car more closely and those wonderful orange valve covers are just peaking through there.

                    UPDATE TIME!!!!!

At last it is done, ran into one last stupid problem, the motor was wasnt making enough vacuum (only making 7in.Hg) and my two blitz blow off valves needed a minimum of 10in.Hg to move the piston, which in result were making my turbos surge. so got a new HKS SSQV BoV for the time being, might go with a Tial later down the road but needed something to get the car moving.

anyway everything is in and the break in tune is done, made a nice 472whp and 453ft/lbs torque at 4500rpm at low low low boost (14 psi), after break in is done we will be doing a tune for 21 psi which will be my low boost setting, and a tune for 32 psi which will be my high boost option and should be just f***ing insane. dunno if i mentioned it before but managing it is the new AEM Truboost boost 2 stage boost controller, works great and easier to use than my old Turbosmart Eboost 2.

oh yea and the car makes boost at idle was watching the boost gauge and realized it never dropped below -2 in.Hg and will go to .1psi, sounds funny and cool at the same time, the turbos are spooling and the blow of valve is goes off lightley at almost every 3 seconds, it sounds like Darth Vader. zzzzzsssshhhhhhh........ koooooooshhhhh ...... zzzzssssshhhhh........kooooosshhhhhh...

so everything is done but i still cant close the god damned hood, tried the jdm hood prop and no luck, so we cut a bit of the hood frame and still no luck, put the hood with the cut frame on JDM prop ups and that was the closest we got, it sits rite on the latch but im missing the half an inch to close the hood. and we had to add 2 inches of washers at the hinges to come that close, and it looks silly.

so last option, props to Snow for this idea, im bringing the stock hood to a company that copies anything you give them in carbon fibre, going to ask them to like you said enhance the cowl a bit more and bring the cowl further to the front to clear the valve cover and maybe make it look more aggressive.

il keep you guys posted and will upload pictures and videos later in the day.
                    Thanks for reading !!!

I am super excited to see how your hood works out. I think it will look sick.

Those numbers are ridiculous. I know you mentioned that you were going to go big single later, but it may be interesting to keep the twins and keep turbo spool at a low RPM. You've already got the big numbers...

I was going to flip back but I'm lazy and tired and can't remember, what cams are you running? I guess 3L of displacement and the right cams would give you great spool and some decent response to say the least.

Wow... that power at 14psi. Can't wait to see what high-boost setting will produce. God damn.
