Dyno curve with 1 mm oversized valves and different cams - so you can't make an apples to apples comparison around valves. Didn't want to change cams, but they got swapped out as part of a troubleshooting process.
Here's the previous tune. Note that torque comes on later and over a narrower rev range, which has the effect of making the power feel less linear.

I like.
E85 / pump gas mix (methonal compatible fuel system to suit) + ECU tune to suit and 50-100hp at same boost level. Turbo's are hp rated on pump gas.
Reving engine more = more load on bottomend and not conrod friendly. Also a hole in the side of the block from the conrod snapping.Last edited by Skym; 02-08-2015, 11:16 PM.RESPONSE MONSTER

Rods in this engine are Tomei H-beams and should be up for the ride, particularly if you don't go there all the time. "I don't always rev to 8500, but when I do..."
I'm actually curious to see where it'll run out of breath...sigpic

H beam conrods allow for more reliability at the same revs, but have snapped when reving engine more than recommended.
But it's your engine and your decision at the end of the day.RESPONSE MONSTER
