So I have been so motivated to get the car running that I have been at the shop every night this week. Yesterday Speedpls, Josiah and I got the exhaust mounted, last vacuum lines and connectors, front axles, diff filled and belts on. Tonight I got the transfer case filled, CCWs on, slave cylinder bled, intercooler cleaned out and installed, Rad and fan installed and the mafs/ air filters on. Alls thats left is to fill it with fluids and start her up. Tomorrow will be the big day!! Hope everything goes well. Now onto couple photos.

Little update. So yesterday I got the car running. I was getting a misfire on cylinder 1 and 2. Tried swapping plugs, moving around coil pack, switching ignited chips and nothing. So today I tried new plugs and bolting everything back properly and grounding the ignitor chip properly. Still misfire. So after some research, I was pretty positive it was timing was way out. Advanced the timing abit and it got better. So I swapped in new plugs and tried again. Advanced some more and it got better. Only thing is there is a vacuum leak. Narrowed that down to some missing O rings in the balance tube. The tub runs air and coolant through it in two different chambers and getting both a vacuum leak and coolant leak. I am going to try to find these O rings
Locally and hopefully that fixes it.

Well Ladies and Gents. She's alive and healthy. After about 3 long nights of trouble shooting what the issues were, I got them. One issue was missing bottom injector rings. Second issue was missing O rings in the balance tube so there was a coolant and vacuum leak there. The major issue was with the throttle bodies and plenum.

So between the intake runner that's bolted to the block gets little metal guides on the bottom studs to help keep the throttle bodies and gasket in place. Then one the other side of the throttle bodies there are more guides to keep the gaskets and plenum all lined up. Well I didn't notice this because the guides were already installed by the person who built most of the motor but the guides for the runner to TB are short and the guides for the TB to plenum are long. He had some switched around so the long ones were keeping the TB away from the runner and the plenum.

Off comes the plenum which is the worst task ever. There are so many vacuum lines and brackets in the way to get the to bottom nuts on the plenum and there is also the iacv/aac bolted to the underside of the plenum. After about 1hr 30mins I got the plenum off, fixed the issue and started to put it back together.

After some cursing it was finally done. Moment of truth. Started it up and purred like a beast. Firing on all 6. No leaks that I could see from underneath from anywhere. Oil pressure is good, vacuum is good, coolant temp is good.

So enough of me yapping. Here's a little clip of first start up.

Well today was the first drive. Besides normal breaking in and not going too hard. Dam this thing pulls hard. These nismo turbos with the divided pipe spool pretty quick. The exhaust. I am speechless. It turned out exactly how I wanted it. My neighbors are not going to be happy

The past week I have been getting a weird little bog/misfire or seemed like the car was overfueling. It would only happen on light throttle and only once and a while. So after setting my timing to exactly what it should be it still did this. I also adjusted all the throttle bodies and throttle cable so it had to be some electrical. I decided to swap the mafs from the r33 since they are the same from a Series 1 R33 GTR. Bam problem solved. Not sure why mine crapped out but I will pull them apart to see what the solders are like.

I just picked up a HKS evc 3 so I can get a exact reading on boost and control to what I want. My Nismo solid shifter will be here this week so that will be going in and the car goes for a safety this week. After the safety I will adjust the ride height in the front to where it needs to be.

Couple pics of the cluster/triple gauge and the car sits right now.

I wanted to do something little different with the car and Ive never had a custom plate, so I thought I would do one. I had the idea of when wanting to import a R34 GTR that I was going to do something to kinda tribute Paul Walker. Well one day this came to me and I thought it would be perfect. Something that deals with Paul Walker and Skylines. Well while watching 2 Fast 2 Furious it hit me. When Paul was getting advice for which motor for his Skyline. Gallo 24 or 12? Since I was going to be building a motor that would be perfect. Later on after getting the R33, My Gf and I thought it would be cool for me to have Gallo 24 for the built motor and Gallo 12 for the stock motor.

So today my plates came in and I couldnt be happier. Excited for how great of a year this will be!!

The car has passed safety and now insured. Recently I have purchased Nismo front upper control arms which will be installed when they get here. Couple other things I just purchased is a oil pressure sensor since mine is on the way out. Also a Innovate Lc2 wideband with DB gauge and a Fujimura Rocket Dancer wing gurney pictured above.

My Nismo shifter just came in and I installed that right away. The car came with no bushing on the stock shifter so it made it real difficult to find gears and even while in gear the shifter would still move 1/2" side to side. Feels completely different to shift now and so much better. I went with the nismo as it has been said by lots that the syncros in the transmission does not like short shifters.

This past week I received my new oil pressure sensor and installed it. Everything is working perfect. No need to worry about a faulty oil pump. Yesterday I installed my Nismo front upper control arms with upgraded whiteline bushings. The stock ones had alot of play which would let the car pull to the left or right while driving. Now the steering feels very tight and handle alot better.

I also had the car tinted on friday by Wes. Great job as always and love how it turned out. He talked me into this new tint that's on the market called HP blue. It has a small tinge of blue to it. Since it only comes in 50%, I might get him to throw a second layer on. So far I am very happy with it.

With Driven coming up very fast there was some spots that needed some repair. When the car was imported there were issues with paint on the rear wing, N1 hood lip and front bumper lip.

First was preping. To get the chip sanded out nicely and even, I used 150 grit.

Next was to hit the whole wing and other parts with 350 to get a nice even surface.

Primed and ready for paint after another quick sand.

Since we had a customers car in the shop we had to spray outside. My dad sprayed while I made sure bugs stayed off and nothing hit the stands. Inhaled lots of fumes that day haha.

                          And the final product.

More updates will be coming with the last couple things I have to get done before driven. Moving doesnt help this process at all.

So yet again I had another set of wheels crack on me. It doesnt help that these ones were dinged up from the previous owner rolling his car. So I ordered 2 new inner barrels. Lets just say for the price of the two I could of bought a new set of xxrs.

Onto rebuilding them before the Regina trip.

                            Damage of the old wheels

After cleaning up the outer barrel face and scuffing up the new barrel face. I hand tightened the bolts and then was ready for sealant.

These shall fix that problem. Hopefully they last bit longer now.

With Driven fast approaching I sent the car to @RebirthDetailing to get detailed. All I have to say is WOW. I never thought this old paint could come back to life. They did an amazing job of getting rid of lots of overspray and imperfections.

Couple more updates. Just before Driven, my Rocket Dancer wing came in. The fitment is great and the quality is amazing. I was very impressed on how fast it was made and shipped from Japan also. Only took 3 weeks from ordering it, to get it to my door.

Yesterday while installing my wideband, my ATTAIN bumper shield came in. Again the fitment is spot on. Fits the curves of the bumper perfect and the slot for the tow hook is in the exact spot it needs to be.

Now onto the issues unfortunately. So with the trip to Regina for summer bash, I decided to tape up the front of the car with painters tape. Well who ever painted the car before did a terrible job of prepping. When I took the tape off, paint started to peel off as well. Came off like nothing. So now I will be for sure getting a whole respray.

Next problem was a random misfire while on the way to Regina. Once we hit the highway and started cruising at a faster speed. The car started to misfire if I kept the throttle at a steady rpm. The second I gave little more gas it was okay. With cruising at 3400rpm I was just in boost the whole way as well. This made the car run like **** and was just dumping fuel. Let's just say that was a ****ty weekend for the car.

Sounds like I have a very similar misfire issue. Only when I've been driving it for 1hr+, and under cruise, full throttle and it doesn't miss, although it won't build full boost.
Haven't had time to chase the issue yet.
