After much consideration, I have finally pulled the boost restrictor. Fuel milage has be the biggest reason I haven't done this, but now I don't have to drive as far to work.

Big difference in the mid-range to top-end Hp. The exhaust note has changed a bit when I really get on the pedal and turbo spool is way more noticable. 8)

So here is my ARC Super Induction Box. I got it powder coated gloss black, thinking that when I get hardpiping I would do them in gloss black as well. I don't like it. So at some point I will pull it out again and do it to match the engine.

You may have also noticed my ARC Hood Panel. Not sure if I should powder coat it or leave it alone.

Looks good! I'd keep the air diversion plate the way it is.

How come you went with an air box style intake instead of a set of pod style filters?

I like the look of a box more than pods, plus pods are so common. Wanted something different.

hey I was wondering, when I ran my arc air diversion pannel i ran it over top of my gtr grill instead of under the first level, is there a reason you installed yours differently? Secondly I believe the ARC pannel is Titanium and if you made it black you will really take away from its essential "bling" value, as I am trying to figre out why you would powder coat your ARC air filter box?

Those are big ticket items dont destroy their looks?

                Looking good Marke!!!

I agree, I think making the ARC Box match the same colour as your valve cover would look much cleaner. The biggest visual items in your engine bay (intake plenum, valve cover and now intake box) would all have the same finish. I think it would just be more balanced to the eye.

I've got another idea for the air diversion panel. What about priming it and painting it the same gunmetal colour as your car? It's very close to the body panels already. (IE Grill, front bumper) . If it's infront of the rad support it sorta seems to be "out" of the engine bay. I think having it painted the gunmetal colour would look very clean. Just a suggestion...

Turbo_CRX: I think Marke is trying to avoid a lot of "bling" in the engine bay. Even the Nismo intake plenum is powerdcoated the same crinkle black as the valvecover etc. (Looks hot btw)... So I think this keeps in tune with the clean, OEM look (even though it's FAR from it)

BTW Marke, we all need to still do dinner! Maybe when we get a little break in this crappy weather

yeah I respect what he's aiming for, the cleanliness factor, I guess to each their own, I do admit the engine bay looks really nice and clean, nothing sticks out like a soar thumb.

Marke, good progress so far, keep us posted as to what else you do with your setup.

I ran it under because I didn't want the possibility of the paint being rubbed off the grill as the hood make contact with the Panel and possible movement from air rushing through.

As McNab said, I'm staying away from the bling. The desired effect I want from someone looking at my engine. "Its a very clean, stock GTR....(double take)...Hey!! Wait a minute...."

I had thought of that as well and ran it by Kerry. She seemed to think I should do it sandex black as well. I am kind of stuck as to what I should do. Also after seeing the Air Box in the car I don't know if I will do the hardpiping gloss black or not. Having the few shiny bits like the oil cap might be a better contrast than a different black. What to do, what to do?

For Valentines Day, I bought my GTR Nismo Upperlinks and a old school Nismo Strut Tower Bar. The bar needs a little TLC, so off to the powder coat shop it goes.

When the weather gets better I will have pics of my tires. Changes the look. More aggressive stance.
