Yes the Volks are my track wheels...for now. In the future I will be getting Enkei RPF1's 17" x 10".
I would like to get Stoptech brake kit in the future. They are priced better that the Endless brake kits.1989 Skyline GTR

and RPF1's are a perfect choise for track, pretty much the lightest rims out there,
and what size tires will you be using, 275/40/R17s ? thats what i would use with 10" of rim width

I think I would go for 295/35/17 on 17x10.
For those whom are interested, I am running -2 degrees camber in the rear since getting adjustable rear upper links. At first I had -1.5 degrees but it wasn't enough to keep the back end in check.(Remember I have a Cusco rear sway bar)
Since running -2, the back end is nice and neutral. Draw back is there is noticably increase in wear on the inside edge of the tire.
Just finished removing the rear steering rack tonight.1989 Skyline GTR

Further upgrade now includes a Split Charge Pipe that I picked up from Manny at Federal. It looks good. Professionally done welds.
Up next I have a Billion power steering reservoir on the way. It pulls the air out of PS fluid that occurs from the PS pump cavitation. When that happens the PS fluid pukes out the top and sprays the engine compartment.1989 Skyline GTR

I will get the wife to take some pics some time soon.
Other addition is Apexi power intake.
Car is all back together and ran my first couple of autox events this weekend with the Z214's on the CE28N's. WOW!!! Took the FTD at the 1st event. Notable car I beat was an Ariel Atom by .55 seconds. Next best time was the co-driver of the Atom and he was 3+seconds. The rest of the field was 4 to 16 seconds slower.
The 2nd event I came in second. The course was very tight and technical. The first place car was a highly modified Miata pushing 260whp and one hell of a driver. Beat the Atom again by .62 seconds.
I can not believe the difference R-Comps make over Extreme street tires. All I can do is rave about them...for now. We will see how they stand up over the long haul.1989 Skyline GTR

seems you have an effective setup!
how hard is it to run at gymkahna style events with such a big and heavy car,
i'm doing alot of track, and it seems on smaller track its harder to keep up with small light cars on R-comps like civics and miatas,
i might run a couple AutoSlalom (autoX) events next year, but i never heard to GTRs doing them
any vids from the event?
and how much did you pay for the Apexi intake ? i might swap my HKS kit for the better filtering Apexi..

Auto slalom events can vary greatly. If the course is fairly open with good flow, big cars can be competitive. If a course is tight and technical, Miata's kick butt even in stock trim.
Even with my Direzza Z1's, I was top 10 on technical courses. If the course was open with good flow, top 5 was do-able. Now with R-comps all bets are off.
There is one Vid of me some where, but none of me at the last two events that I know of. I will try and track down the older one.
I paid $275 at Takeda Racing, brand new. You can get them from Japan for less, but cost of shipping will make it about the same. Should mention that was a sale price. Guys at Takeda are always easy to deal with. The sponge filters on the ARC super induction box didn't do a very good job of filtering. There was grit in the bottom of the box. It was very fine, but grit none the less.1989 Skyline GTR
