so after spending $1000 on a seibon cf trunk lid....which i thought they were suppost to be the best of the best for fitment.
$1000 just gone down the drain.

all the advice from everyone was right.....they fit like ass.
they fit like a $300 yahoo auction trunk lid.. no wait...a yahoo auction trunk lid actually close without rubbing on the headlight....a seibon one doesn't even close. the frp on the back is too thick.

the only good thing about the trunk lid is, it's actually thicker and heavier then a yahoo auction one. which i think might be able to support a gt wing without a problem.

your problem might be having headlights in the rear.

Felix, my buddy just brought home a "type JU" Seibon Hood (retails around $1300) and its the worst looking, cheaply made thing we have seen. taking it back because it doesnt fit right and many other issues such as the safety catch molded into the hood was so wafer thin it broke through on the first use.

Another thing, these "expensive = quality" Seibon hoods arent even full carbon fiber. they are fiberglass with a top layer of CF for looks.

They want me to put one on my car. I cant see that happening now unless these few cases of crappy product are flukes.

cf over lay is no problem as i havent seen any dry cf trunk or hood go less then $2500 for any cr..i just wish it would actually fit..but it doesnt.
the only thing good is its actually thicker then the one i have now and it MIGHT be able to support a gt wing

hmmm... ive had no issues with my seibon hood... and fitment was very good... as for it being not full carbon, well it isn't a $2G's+ hood... because if its "full carbon" you should be paying north of that...

it's 5:29am in vancouver...and i just finished a nite of working on the car.

got the VTTR Brakes on...it was an easy job. and it fits perfectly !








then the front and rear cusco sway bar...it stands out really well on the bottom of the car!
ps: if you have no friends like me.....this is a bitch to install....i had to use my head to hold it up..

Well I haven't been onto GTRC in a while. I still remember the good old days when only a select few had skylines, but hey they're finally starting to get noticed. This is the first time i drilled into this thread, and i really enjoy seeing people plans for their cars come to fruition... nice job i really like seeing raw carbon on a car, i dont think it should be painted, the white/carbon is really nice combination imo... one thing, could you tell me where your getting all your trim and such made up in CF? also, would you happen to have the stock airboxes kicking around?

the carbon stuff is mostly customs by some carbon hobbiest here intown.
