the motor is IN !
but more problems
for those who think RB30 is a direct bolt on..u are wrongin, as the rb30 block being taller, with my Larger greddy intake manifold, the back it of HITs the clutch master cyclinder, we end up moving the master cyclinder higher up
for those who think RB30 is a direct bolt on..u are wrong again, as the rb30 4wd requires sump plate, the sway bar came really really close to the sump. tho the sway bar isn't connected to the shocks yet so we won't know what will happen under final adjestment.
and it hits the NEW brake lines we made so we had to make new brake lines the 3rd time.
enjoy the pictures
i'll take more with a real camera once the tranny is in today !!!
pics taken with cherry picker still has it's tension, wthout it the engine will tilt back hitting the above listed items.
i really hope when the tranny is in. these problems will not happen !

Suggestion to help you with clearance on the clutch master cylinder and the Greddy surge tank.
First the Greddy surge tank will have the allen bolts get lose under vibration. Unless you use locktite on them, they will fall out and you won't find them. The large rubber seal doesn't provide that great a sealing job and you wouldn't want a leak there would you? One of the standard practices here in Japan is to weld the two pieces of the Greddy surge tank together. If you do this, it will also help you in another way. You can grind away the large nub at the rear of your Greddy surge tank without having to worry about trashing that rear bolt and thread area. This way it gives you more space between the surge tank and clutch master cylinder.
we were going to weld it together. but instead we used RED lock tight and gasket sealer to seal the 2pc together.
now with the tranny in the car as well everything bolted where it should be...
there's no way to fit the clutch master in with the booster..it's just too tight at that area.
so i am going to run it without the booster !

another SAD SAD day at Keep..
after tranny/clutch is together with the engine, we found out there was some special parts missing/ that i sold with the old tranny.
now i gota find out what's missing. ugh....
long story..short we have to pull the tranny out,
btw: DONT GET ESSENTIAL Clutch piston kit...it is SAME as OEM !!! i got ripped thinking it was a bigger one
but good news is THEY (KEEP) Solved the Clutch master cylinder problem
here are the pictures
also seeing the engine is higher up, some parts of the tranny dont line up, like the shaft that goes from the engine to the transfer case, it hits the tranny. "what do u do if it hits ?" you cut it !
another reason why i hate AUS made stuff,
AUS made 4wd sump adapter is 1 mm too far foward creating a gap between the sump and the tranny.
solution...stick a washer in between.
BTW: in the mean time, while the GTR is sitting at keeps. i drive this daily !
anyways just bored
