Rob at rips has done them in 4wd . i thinkhe just has a bulged hood made.

if not mistaken, the block is somewhere near 32mm taller

I think negative comments like the "wallmart (sic) hack job" is uncalled for. He did what he had to do, at the moment. We were not there during the decision-making process so we're not entitled to second guess. Its just a bloody shame it happened. Why knock someone when they're down? I just think its great the car is running. We should be proud of the guy for having the guts to do such a project and the balls to complete it.

there are ways to raise the back of the hood, letting it close, and it looks amazing compaired to your wallmart hack job....

if you look closely the front of the your curves down, which makes less clearence on the front then the back
the back of the hood doesn't hit !!
the front does...u notice i didn't cut the back of the hood ?

turbo hits, front valve cover hits and oil cap hits

I cant even have a front strut bar on my car because my aftermarket hood is so low in the front. It nearly touches the top of the motor

with all the fine detail that was put into this build, that hood hack job was not the right way to go... but its felix's car / money

imo, should have sold the hood, and went custom.
-Manny from FTP has a custom setup on his malibu, which would have worked for felix, I'll see if he'll put a pic up..

cutting out was really the first step of making the hood custom !!
we were going to cover it up and paint it white anyways

in this pic, look at how tall the turbo is compare to the shock tower





then look at how high the arms for the throttle bodies are

Its the hurdles that make this hobby "interesting". Felix, I think the reason people are ragging on you is because when you have a car that is pretty much flawless something like that does take away from it. I am confident you will end up with a great solution.

I have found no matter what you do there will always be haters, so feel it and keep on going. "Feelings" dont come into play when fixings cars **** happens and you run with it, if i dont like it or the next dont like it then who cares . . . they do not you right? and its your car soo i say meh and when someone else gets an RB30 in CA they can talk all the ish they like . . . and guess what still wont matter!!

it's 100mm from middle of down pipe after the bent

new battery..the old one sucks !
this one is CARBON .... Baller !
