Thanks! Im still not a huge fan of the color but im going to work them in with the rest of the car such as possibly getting my intake manifold and valve covers painted / coated the same kind of color and the graphics on the car in a bronze / gold chrome colors. Thats kinda why im leaning towards Brembos brakes is due to the color! lol!
It honestly doesnt cost that much in the big scheme of things. To buy this car and then do all this to it is still less than it cost me to buy my truck. And im under half the price of a Corvette Z06 (comparable weight and power)

Its not a race! Its going to be all about the drive and the things we see and do on the way to Cali. its going to be sweet.
Its my dream Skyline also. I didnt want to wait 3-4 years and then lose interest near the end like the last two projects (73 Camaro / 84 Fiero)
Just git er done and enjoy the damn thing!

Yeah its quite the soap opera but its getting near the final act. I cant wait to post final pics. I would post a million pics of parts and pieces but thats kinda boring, so when things start moving along a little faster, ill add some pics.
The folks building the engine and Subracing are just about finished hammering out the final details of the engine and everything else is sitting in boxes or waiting to be shipped.
Soon. Maybe another 3 weeks?

In typical donkstyle fasion. The shop that has my car, numerous parts and oh yeah... my engine! was EVICTED (as in locked out one morning) from their premises and now has had to relocate. Nothing has happened on my car for this month. They assure me they will be up and running by the end of this month.
Atleast all they will have to do is typical engine swap and tune. Everything will be sitting waiting for them to re open. It looks like Super Autobacs in my living room.
So im going to be delayed a month. Should be done... WANT to be done by the end of May now.
The only parts not sitting here or at the shop are the ones listed without the (-)
And BTW, anyone else thinking of doing a build like this... dont do it!! The words "money" and "pit" come to mind... I have almost exactly the same amount of money in parts as i had paid for my GTR 8 months ago. Anyone wanting to know what i paid for parts or where to get some pieces i will help where i can.

I thought the shop with the frisky car jockey was footing the bill for the rebuild?

They ended up settling with me out of court for half of the expense of fixing what they damaged. So with that little bit of money i threw that into the mix and upgraded the whole damn car.

I could have got away with sinking $6,000 of my own money into it and be on the road. But thats not any fun. Always knowing i could have upgraded this, or upgraded that... Now im a month or so away from 600hp giddiness done right. I refused to slap a set of turbos on it and then using some "fuel computer" to tune it and then wonder why it blows up again in 3 months.
haha! i should edit my parts list and add prices in there... It gives me heart palpatations every time i look at my cost spreadsheet.

Awesome car man. Do you know of any other silver GT-R's in Edmonton? I'm picking my silver car up this Friday, it even has the same N1 headlights and Nismo bumper as you, although with 5-spoke SSR Professor wheels. I havn't seen another Silver GT-R in Edmonton yet.

Exactly, an eye towards longevity. If you're going to rebuild, might as well do it right. Plus, if the HKS 2530s ever lose their enamour, you're ready for more.
