Does anyone have any feedback on the v-cam system. Good/bad.. More specifically the step pro version. Thanks.

On the contrary the standard and Pro versions are available...they just don't do much in the way of advertising them. They are expensive as hell, not that easy to tune, and may require relief cuts on your piston's intake side for some pistons.
It is the one thing that was on my "to do" list for my build this year that I didn't go through with. After seeing the price and complexity, decided against it and just went with a milder cam setup (270degree 10.8mm lift) than I originally wanted to.BNR32 Owner

It is a good chunk of change, around 4000 for the system plus it adds to the complexity of tuning. I could think of better things to spend 4K on, like an OS Giken gearset, or new front/rear diffs, etc.1990 Skyline GT-R - Jet Silver Metallic

That's the price for the standard system. The Pro setup is about US$5000~5500...very expensive for what you are getting.BNR32 Owner

The HKS & HKS Kansai sites still advertise the Step Pro:

Thanks guys. This is the final leg of the build. Im running hks 2.8 step 2 on an n1 block. At this point there is little left to do. I know the unit will cost some bucks but im thinking the gains will out way it. Any first hand user information would be most valuable. Thanx again.

I think that for the gains that a V-cam will net you, it would have been much easier to run an RB30. You'd probably see even bigger mid range gains, and much less cost. It'd probably have been cheaper than your 2.8 stroker, actually.1990 Skyline GT-R - Jet Silver Metallic
