Hey gtrcers, need help with my car and hope it's not too serious. I was driving today and noticed my car wanted to stall out while I was going at a constant speed. I was going about 60km/hr and the rpm dropped for about a milli second. While I was at the lights it did it again. It just dropped and went back up to idle. Literally for about a milli second. Just down then up. I haven't changed my fuel filter yet and not sure if this the cause of it, or fuel pump? Please advise. Thx

Hey guys, I'm so bummed. I was driving home after work and my car is really acting up. I'm lost of words and very worried on how to fix this problem. First ten minutes of driving everything seems ok, then it starts to happen again. As I'm driving the car wants to give out, it wants to stall but then it kicks back in. (as my foot is on the throttle). I bearly made it to a parking lot and pop the hood too see whats going on, and the car stalls out. The engine seems really hot. I tried to turn it on again and for about 20 sec it stalls again. I waited for about 2 minutes and turn it on, then pop it on first and forced it to get home. As I'm driving it wants to give up and kicks back on monentarly. When I put my hand on the rad cap I can feel the liquid moving, almost like it's boiling. The engine is very hot and cannot touch.

When this part is failinig why wouldn't the cas throw a code? It is mechanical but at the same time it has a electronic thing on the cas sending a ecu a signal. Dirty burger and I just went through this on his car and went for codes and nothing. When we heard it could be the cas he brought his down to my place was absolutely seized. Can someone explain to me how the works? I am just trying to gather why something like that wouldn't be measured and throw a codeMiss driving sooooo bad! Need to get a car on the road ASAP!

+1 my first thought was the maf also. I had the same symptoms, a new maf cleared it right up. My next guess would be the O2 sensor. Try unplugging it at idle and see if it runs any different.I canz take this corner at 195k cause i gots AWDZ. Get real.

His problem seems to be time related (first few minutes) which means it's probably heat related. This points out to CAS usually. Quick swap will tell.03 lancer dead
