  • How to Install A/C on 90' GTR R32?

When i bought my car, the ac was out. the seller gave me all the parts and i would like to possibly put it back in next spring. I have no idea how though.

Wondering if anyone here knows of a good write up on a DIY. I tried to search but couldnt find anything.

    For a 1990 Nissan Skyline GTR R32

    Thanks in advance.

I took all mine out. Isn't too complicated, Brantford isn't too far if you need a hand putting it back in!
Dang! You got shocks, pegs... Lucky! You ever take it off any sweet jumps?

Keep the A/C removed! Race car!

No just kidding, but also try searching SkylineOwners.com or SAU.

To be 100% honest, I had an Acura RSX before and it had nice cold A/C. To come to an older car without it sucked for about a day...then I dropped the windows on the highway and could care less ever since :-)

Ok, to install all the AC components (Hardware) is fairily easy, what are we going to do with actual ac fluid?

To my understanding all the R32s came equipped with R12 freon, which is illigal to sell here in NORTH AMERICA, i thought that this in most arease advanced car (R32 GTR) would of have R134 from the factory but not, it dosen't!

I talked to a couple of buddies, very good mechanics and AC specialists and they are saying that on the early stages this two, r12 and r134 werent compatible! But now, if you clean up your old system very very good, and add a bit less charge than its asking for you migh get away. Im going to try this sometime next spring....

Don't bother converting to 134a, it will be dead soon anyway. Just go to Walmart and pick up the Duracool recharge kit. It has every thing you will need and is only about $70. If you can't find that brand the RedTeck stuff is the same thing.

For those of you that don't like that stuff, suck it, I would rather have a refrigerant that is slightly flammable than one that turns into mustard gas when it burns.

Alright, so i have 2 weeks of school then one of the next weekend I'm out to attempt to install it. I believe i have all the parts to put it back in. anyone have a part list to be sure. Also would a r33 gtr ac unit installed on a r33 be pretty simlar to the r32? that being said i have a buddy who has a r33 and if its the same i could basically copy how he has in?
