Im not worried about the bottom end, but what does worry me are these restrictors ive just recently heard about, ive read that garrett has restrictors in there turbos, but has also heard the opposite, so since i have my turbos on hand... Can i see by comparing my new and old turbos to see if i have some, if not, what size do i need and where can i get them and who makes these..... I appreciate all ur help

Yeah I have a set of r34 N1 turbos and I was told there is a built in restrictor but it doesnt look like any restrictors is built in, I bought a set of banjo bolts that go on the stock turbo oil lines they are M11x1.0mm with restrictors 1.5mm->0.8mm and from the article i read on the garrett website they always recommend oil restrictors for ball bearing turbos

This just came to my mind..... Because i have an r34 engine (which comes with ball bearing turbos) wouldnt that mean there should already be a restrictor for the turbos?

Is a 1.5 mm restrictor to the head only recommended when using an upgraded oil pump? Or would it still be good if i keep my stock oil pump (r34 motor)

That seems to be the general consensus

I would install one either way. Choose the size from the link you've watched earlier in the thread from the parts that you have installed...
