Boost leak or BOVs passing; doesnt sound like a EBC issue. You should be able to do a pressure test to check for the 1st two issues.

Is there any audible noises when this cycling occurs, ie. BOV passing? A boost leak probably will not cause those kind of symptoms..When you say the turbos stop spooling and start again, do you mean the wheel stops accelerating or stops completely (what would the boost vs rpm curve look like?)

Starts spooling at around 3500rpm then makes a sound like going through a wind tunnel at that point boost stops and jolts the car back a bit, if i keep my foot on the gas it will start spooling again and then goes through the same symptoms, if i let off the gas everyting returns to normal until i hit the boost mark again at which point the turbos start it again. A few rare times they will spool properly but thats now like a 1 in 500 chance

Kinda sounds like slurping that last bit of soda out of a mcd's cup as well when all you get is mostly air through the straw

Could that be a throttle or maf issue?

Is it that the turbos are not spooling, or is it that the engine itself has an issue such as ignition or fueling?

engine runs fine and smooth, its only when the turbos start up that the problem occurs, theyll spool for about 4-5 seconds then stop and start over

RPM doesnt change or dip at all, it just continues as normal while the turbos spaz out

Search 'Turbo Shuffle' and see if the discussion matches up with what you're experiencing.

Try get a video for us. Iv never heard of the turbos spooilin while theres no change in engine RPM. Maybe Im not reading right.

Is all the exhaust tightened down? Wastegates are working?

Whatever you're experiencing happened to me but at a 10x faster rate when I blew an IC piping off, each time I'd hit boost it would leak and go rich, bog, repeat. Kind of like if you're stalling with poor clutch work from a standstill.

This sounds really similar, is there a quick way of fixing this?

Your timing might be out (retarded) and causing massive shuffle that's what happened to me when I installed new engine.

Make sure base timing set set correctly and that you are running a correct tune. It would be good to know your setup and where the current tune came from.

Some people have suggested adjusting timing to make the shuffle go away, but this can create much greater problems that you're currrently dealing with!

Solutions will depend quite a bit on your setup so I won't get into speculation at this point.

Check for leaks before you do anything!
