  • Some advice and opinions needed on a few aftermarket parts.

First a few questions about fuel components,

what is the largest injector that can be fitted into the stock rb26 fuel rail? is the stock fuel rail injector size 11mm?

Anyone using the AEM high volume fuel pressure regulator, or the Aeromotive a1000 fpr? which one would be a better choice, I had a ebay one, but it leaks like crazy so its not going to be used.

I have a Vipec ECU which will be getting tuned in the car in the spring, In order to control boost, what will be required? I have a Apexi boost control valve already wired from the location of the ecu to the engine bay, im wondering if this will work?

There is a AEM water/meth kit in the car also, should anything be wired from this to the Vipec?

Last thing, Injectors. What is the best bang for buck injector? does anyone run RC? or Deautswerks?

Trying to pick away at as much as i can before it gets finished up and dynotuned. Mafs are eliminated, and map sensor vacuum line is run to ecu. Wideband output wire is also run to vipec.

Thanks alot, the advice is appreciated.

Either will work fine, will be much better than the ebay.

You just need a standard 3 port solenoid. The apexi one will work fine. It will need to go to one of aux outputs of the vipec. Then you just have to setup the ECU as desired for control.

You'll probably need a Sard dual entry fuel rail due to fuel requirements (limit's of fuelpumps, hence why use 2x of them), but can fit ID 1000cc injectors, single big Aeromotive or similar pump.

Most use Sard brand FPR (genuine, not the copy), but Aeromotive FPR works (I think I have seen it used on high hp drag GTR's).

Link, ViPEC ECU's can use 3 port MAC brand boost control solenoid.

Not familiar with water / meth kit, wiring to ECU.

ID injectors if running on E85, pump gas. They provide good spray pattern at idle for smooth idle.

        Awesome. Thanks.

Whenever asking for help it is always a good idea to give as much as possible. Information like what you plan to use the car for and what kind of power levels you are hoping to acheive are always useful when trying to provide you with suggestions for upgraded parts. That being said depending on youre power level the stock fuel rail will work fine and you can fit id1000s (hands down best injector on the market as previously stated). I have used the AEM fpr on a previous build and it worked fine for 2 years but eventually busted internally, long story short i have switched the aeromotive a1000 and have had no problems. It has a decent price and aeromotive makes quality products. To control boost with you're vipec all you need the the boost solenoid. Sounds like its already tied into the ecu so you dont have much to worry about. The AEM w/m kit is a ticking time bomb which i can say from personal experience and seen it blow a few other motors. Anyway yes you can tie it into the vipec. Download the wiring/install manual for it and it will tell you everything you need to know. I believe there are two wires one for boost pressure switch and one for output which can go to youre ecu. As far as looking for id injectors frsport is good as well as any other reputable online site..

You're welcome. Should see the dynochart with whp, torque (old dynochart, note the boost level of 48psi) -

The world’s fastest 4WD drag car aims to go quicker: STM’s tuner Andre Simon headed to Auckland recently to touch up the tune on Heat Treatment’s world record holding R32 GTR drag car. In the off season the car benefited from a new turbo and some small revisions to the engine. The result was a stout 1505 whp at 48 psi boost! This figure is around 100 whp higher than when Reece set the world record at Willowbank in Australia. The car is about to be loaded into a container to head back to Willowbank for J20 in August, where the team are confident of pushing their record of 7.57 @ 191 mph a little lower. That's unreal! I couldn't imagine building close to 1000whp in 2000rpm!

A few options I was looking towards for the fuel pump.

                        Aem 320lph
                        Aeromotive stealth 340lph or
                        Walbro 400lph

The shop that will be doing the dyno tune swears by the walbro 400, says the walbro 255 is no good.

All of these pumps say they support decent horsepower levels
