I vaguely recall seeing an sr powered r32 gtst somewhere before.. Maybe a JDM magazine or something. All I know is that you're going to lose that wonderful straight six sound... And hundreds of pounds of weight, while gaining displacement. lol, it's gonna be rad.
Now I want to do an sr20 swap, too

Theres a really nice red R32 with an SR20 in it.
Thing was making just over 400WHP,
and i remember them mentioning
very noticable differences in the handling.
The R32 felt much nimble and was noticably lighter apparently.
Should be an interesting swap!
But it still wont compare to that amazing RB sound

It wont be hundreds of pounds lighter. I dont know where that idea came from..
SR20DET - 149 kg 328 lbs w/o tranny
SR20DET 490 lbs w/ tranny
KA24DE - 540 lbs
-Complete engine/5spd tranny
-No power steering pump
-No air conditioning compressor
-Dry
RB20DET - 584 lbs
-Complete engine/5spd tranny
-No power steering pump
-No air conditioning compressor
-Dry
There is definitely a difference looking at these numbers but strap a GT35R on the SR over the Neo RB25 turbo he has now etc. Weight is looking a lot closer to 580 lbs

fair enough. I would think a big benefit will be the weight sitting closer the the fire wall too.
Have fun in mexicali

we all want more power
I would start a new build thread once you start the buildup
