I was looking through an auction site and found a fully forged R34 RB25DET race spec motor with aftermarket ECU, aftermarket loom, aftermarket ignition module, etc -

Hey there have decided to put my Neo 25t race motor/ECU up for sale as there is pretty much no drift track days in the north island anymore Engine Specs: Rb...

It is said to produce around 547hp at engine with 14psi.

Nice It looks good whats the price his asking?
if its a good price,I will ask him miles, does it has a collar intalled?,whats the compresion on the pistons?,does it has race bearings?or calico coating bearings?I notice he had stock damper.but thats small things since if he has cover the issues with the parts I advice you to ask.
If he has This done the above asked then the block its good. The head doesn't matter since you can work that with less worries.good luck man.

I'm not buying the motor. It's just to show you what he used on his build for bottomend (pistons, conrods) and what can be extracted from it.

              oh.....sorry.
to build a block I do the fallowing
              forged piston
high beam rods with arp bolts
              calico or acl race bearings
              crank collar
              oem water pump
              N1 or aftermarket oil pump
              Arp main studs
              Arp head studs
              metal head gasket
              oil restrainers
              600+hp damper
              fitting for the oil pan
a bolt to seal the water from the block for the turbo
and install a fitting to fit the earl fittings and stainless steel lines
When I have all the parts I take the pistons to intall the rings and have them gaped in the machine shop ,alone with the block which will be bore and honed to the new piston specs and decked to insure its flat,Also I will take the crankshaft att the same time to have the collar machined and welded to place and then micro polish and balanced.I took the pan to to have a fitting install for the drainer set up.With this proyect I also took the head to be worked as well.It cost me $450 to do all this. $700 extra if I want to flow and a port and polish the cylinder head.then while you wait you decide what you want to do with your head.oh...And get a clutch. This way I can drop the block with tranny in the car and later intall the head. This way always work for me.If this would been a all out poryect I would have run some fuel line while the engine and tranny is out.But a bosch 300lph intank will give me all I need.still this one will have a surge set up just in case auto cross kicks in.

oh heres a pic of the trust turbo I will be runing.

              mod to 3"

Got some work done.lol Just finished getting the drainer fitting on the oil pam installed. Thanks to Mark man.MazWorx Got to love them man.

The best diff option for this project is this r200 3.11 VLSD

                      lower gears for bigger turbos
                      sweet

well the perfect diff set up for this project calls for a 3.11 vlsd
Problem with the 4.11 was they're good for a six speed and if you install a lsd
then with the amount of power this rb25 is capable youll be spinning out in all gears.the vlsd I tested it att was a 500hp s13 rb26dett with my same turbo setup the t78 and it worked like a charm.pull hard as fck but still no spinning out of control.remember the s13 weights less then the s14 thats why the 311 should be great choice.Still to be sure I will have to test it.Also this car will never see less then 500hp all day

Don't let the out side fool ya lol
Heres Some pics of the work so far

                          Thats all for now

                            4" exhaust and downpipe
                            3" intercooler piping
                            resistor for the 1000cc injectors
soon the tuner couldn't make it today expecting his call to get it started

                              Wow, I like.

I sort of see what you mean by fitting a 3.11 final ratio. I gather it's similar to what you see on a car that's fitted with a V8 engine.
