Those machining fees will be worth it when you crank the engine for the first time after assembling everything properly.

The only regret I have is not being able to build my bottom block. I didn't have the budget and knew if I tried I'd be forced to half-ass the machine process (skip some) so I didn't even go there. One day... One day... (envious)

i've got just enough cash to be broke after the machine shop bill is paid lol. i'll have pics in a couple weeks, i'm at a total stand-still until they're done.
fenders are getting fixed and primered though! the left sideskirt never fit right cuz the front fender was just a little bent inwards so now it'll look slick!
I've been brushing my teeth with jack but it's resulted in terrible amounts of tooth decay.

also, the stock BOV is from a 1g DSM. (mitsubishi eclipse, eagle talon etc..)
I know, because i used to have one! EXACT same.

well, i got bored and i've been planning a sexy fuel setup, which requires a sexy fuel rail! so i threw some flashy paint on mine to get it ready for those AN fittings and hoses. i think it turned out pretty well, definitely better than the ugly grey it was before...
so here's the ugly before. booooo.

                and here's the lovely after

crap, i just noticed a spot on that line coming out of the top that needs to be touched up lol

you should paint yours rabbit, even if it's just silver to match the intake manifold. spruce up the old a bit.
i'm disappointed in the fenders. i'll snap a couple pics wednesday morning.
the guy i know is only like 22 but he's a body guy so i thought he'd be better. there are still dents and uneven spots.

On second gen RB20, you can chop that ugly line right out!

                        So restrictive

m_melon nice job on the build and really in the long run for the machine work done on your engine it will all be worth it in the long run man! I am just going to run my internals hard and when they break it will give me an excuse to do some fixing with some high end internals.

I must ask who did you get the nismo engine mounts from? I am not just ready to buy them yet but i will need them as one of mine was broken!

Also if you dont mind spending some cash if you look really hard you could find a powerfc kicking around instead of nistune!

BTW: check out my build and see what you think.... I need to be doing more work on the thread but i have been busy, let me know what you think though
Miss driving sooooo bad! Need to get a car on the road ASAP!

i'm going all out on my bottom end build, i don't want to tear it 100% down again in the near future. i had bad compresion, and i learned a lot from the build.

engine mounts- nismoparts.com is easy. jns imports will often price match anything else you find within reason. try ztune as well, see what they'll do.

i'm definitely getting nistune for my engine, whether it stays in the skyline or goes into a 240. i'll be breaking in the upgraded short block on stock fuel, maf, turbo, etc so i don't mind waiting a bit before getting nistune. i want a complete management setup like nistune, and i think it'll suit me perfectly.

i'll take a look at your build and let ya know what i think

what made you decide to do this... i mean put all stockish parts back on? is this just for break in or will it stay like this?
