    Body work is almost done!

Fender overs have been trimmed and test fitted, havnt competely figured out if I want to run a beed of silicone on the inside edge right before I put on the Pop rivets.

Damn rust was gunna kill this thing. Japanese bondo was covering it up...

Custom brackets for my side skirts+ all new wheel well edges:

POR 15 Showed up so I went off painting it on:

    First coat:

    Inside lip:

I would have done the whole underside of the car if I could but I need to have this thing ready for paint soon.

I am really digging the POR15 applies great self healing and aparently gets harder as it comes in contact with water. Ill post up a final review once painted and sees some burnt rubber and rain.

Picked up a 91 TH1 Blue Gtr because well 2 is better then one. I began to part most if it out but Im thinking im going to keep the rolling shell with glass. Clean title cant go wrong.

While my car is off geting its final touches before paint my friends decide to take over my garage!

As you can see there is no shortage of skylines, the white one just just geting the finishing touches on a quick Rb25 swap. While the red one you might have seen before is geting a healthy Rb20 PUT back into it.

Next update should have some fresh paint:P

Noticed I dont have a clip of my car running, this was last years first time out at our local Oval track. Not the greatest but I want all the seat time I can get. Enjoy:

Yea I really glad I went and got it all fix properly, other goodies can wait. Paint and Tires are the most important at this point for this up coming season.

Im having a hard time keeping up with the process but this is wha tI have been up too:

Cars panels removed for bodywork+ Por15 Treatment

While doing that I wanted to switch out my Cxracing rad for something a bit Bigger:P

3inch Forged Racing rad should od the trick, could fitment issues for us HCR32 guys tho:

Most of you who have tried to fit fans+ a shroud know these PS lines are a problem

So I took of the bracket and zip tied them further back, I could have spent $60 in new line and fittings to reroute but there is no sign of wear and I dont see this been an issue anymore.

Up next is the Water neck fitment+ angle:

As you can see I have a PNT front facing plenum that has already been modified to fit and aftermarket rad. The angle was pretty crazy but all I had to go was go down to the local Napa and find a radhose with some crazy bends that fit and chop it up.

Little Teaser of the front end with Gtr fenders insalled for test fit:

Green sunkin battleships I know, dont judge there my rolling around wheels and paint wheels:P

Fenders rolled/debadged and some high build primer to see my low spots. Cant wait to go to paint booth. Its been a long time in the making.

                      • man nice built! going to keep an eye on this! the pic of your downpipe just seriously helped me! putting in a t04 turbo with a top mount mani in my car and i wasnt sure how to do the exhuast... that helped!

btw, i saw earlier in your thread about someone mentioned the "wont be able to go under 20psi due to the wastegate issue" can you talk about that a bit... is that an issue at all... how did you fix the tubing on the mani? just curious, i dont think it will be an issue for my build... also how did you run your wastegate? did you external dump it or back into the exhaust?

                        • Glad it helped, I had to source the flanges vbands myself then the exhaust shop fabed what I wanted.

The manifold was modded with vbands to fit the tial 44mm wastegate as well as the design of the length of the wastegate pipe.

The mention I believe was that I could not go lower then 13psi as that's what spring is in the wastegate. So I let me tuner know and that means I had to running my tune/boost above 13psi to open the wastegate.

I have a screamer pipe off my wastegate(meaning its not plumbed back in) I love the sound but I can't shift over four thousand rpm in town as it is very loud.

My car sees a lot of trackdays/ drift events so it suits me and my driving style. If it was my daily I would have plumber it back in for sure.

                          • Wow this summer is Flying by!

This is what took me most of spring to do, I wanted to focus on my front suspension aswell as my tire choices.

Started out by picking up Some Powerbymax Knuckles from a member here:

                            Kit include:
-custom welded knuckles with up to 49 Degrees of angle
                            - reinforced FLCAs with stock bump stops removed

I also added Wicked tunning roll center adjuster outer tierods, paired up with strenghtened Tie inner tie rods

Topped off with 7mm PBM rack spacers

As you can see my old Oem inners were pretty shot after the years of abuse

Heres a couple shots of the Outer tie rods matched with the knuckle:

You can see the difference in the helm joint tie rod vs Oem/ Tein Outer tie rods, Altho Oem seals are much less to take care of and obvously becuase the protected boot will last longer most likley.

I always check over my car before and after an event anyways

                            Finished product before alingment:

                            • ON the the next one!

With the front end angle+tie rods covered It was time to address the Coilover situtation. When I bought the car they came with pretty stiff Jic magic coilovers which had some pretty old and wore out bushings. I bought some very good barely used Tien Super Street coilover the next following year but they just did not cut it.

So I sold the Teins in order to pay for paint for my car, New Replacement Coilovers:

Parts shop Max's aka PBM R32 Coils:

                              Specs- Front 10kg/Rear 8kg
                              - Modified top hats to Fit SLL Leight weight /less dropping springs

Info and reason why I went with the PBM combo and Spring rates:
                              ~ Available in 6, 8, 10 and 12KG
                              ~ 180mm length, 61mm ID
~ New High Tensile Alloy made in Japan
~ Does not deform over time, or after full crush testing (this means you dont have to set ride height twice, since they dont sag)
~ Higher strength means we can use a smaller diameter and use less turns to wind the same KG rating as standard silicon steel springs
~ Feels smoother and softer because of its extremely linear design.
~ increased traction and suspension response
                              ~ Gold coating
                              From PBM site

I really should have taken a picture of the weight difference of the scales between the Jic Steel coils and the new PBM Aluminum

I can tell you for sure each PBM coilover with springs were just shy of 4 pounds lighter. PRetty good weight savings Id say.

Pics of Ride Height to come after alingment!

                              Wheel Fitment

I have 3-4 Different wheel combos I run Between daily driving/drift/ more grip/more slip

In order to make my 18x8 +21 Works up front close to flush I went with Bings 20mm Hubcentric Spacers

Now going with slip on spacers both hubcentric to the hub and wheel it is requimended and NEEDED for my setup to replace the stock hub bolts with your choice of lengthened studs:

                              I went with Arp

Only problem is it changded my thread to a toyota M12x1.5 where as nissan is 1.25, O well lugnuts it is:

Heres the same shot of the studs been replaced, Make sure you take your time torquing these babies down that you dont mesh them into the hub.

As you guys know I have a soft spot for Orange, what better way to start of the summer with powder coated Volks to match the engine bay:

I Know I promised my next update to have Fresh paint pictures, I lied one last thing I wanted to tackle before she went into the booth was my Wore out, abused 5$ hooker Ebrake Shoes:

New Project MU R32 shoes for better ebrake locks:

I really wanted to do a hydro ebrake but the I just could not afford the 350-400$ price tag after the paint and suspension upgrades. Maybe next year.

All I can say is I love the feel of the Max angle kit! Coilovers are nite and day and I Lowered the car half and inch and body roll has went down alot.

I think down the Road are some Whiteline larger sway bars and actually put in my energy suspension bushings kit.

PAINT/WHEELs and FITMENT and DRIFT action to follow. G nite

                              • As Promised!

Where I left off the car was in its final stages of body work, So I thought. Man bodywork is SOOO much more work then I thought. Luckily I had a gentleman by the name of Wayne Brooke showed me a thing or 2 I would have never even thought of. From Sanding to proper spray coverage etc. I have learned alot of this past winter and spring/summer and will continue to Ride Project Driftsicle all the way.

                                OPTIMUS PRIME:

Pretty excited to just have it primmed, Lots more sanding to do:S

I descided that the rear end and trunk of the car needed some POR15 aswell, man I love this stuff!

All the extra parts like fenderovers needed a good couple coats of primer, even the Dmax needed work.

Here she is after all that time!

                                Fresh paint baking away.

                                Back home:

Tow Rig and Rine, maybe I should paint my truck now..

I was lucky to get onto a alingment rack the weekend after paint:

Think im running to much toe in:P?

Good Shot of the Nitto NT05s im running up front this year, so far I love these, never any understeer.

Testing of the angle agian in the parking lot:

Turns SO sharp now I love it, I almost never have to back up the make a turn on my street or anything like that, also makes for tight donuts aswell:P

First car show the car has been entered into, my nefew seemed to like it:

Nite shot my buddy did, testing out the orange wheels with Federal 595s:

Ok now for the fun/event I was dreaming and talking about since I went in 2011, Drift union Invitation in Penticton BC!

Loaded up the car and went down with a couple buddies from our local Drift team RONG GARAGE.

I enjoy the Drive from GRande Prairie to Kelowna, wish I lived there.

Geting ready to make some smoke:

Shots taken by Micheal P from Dorikraze:

Some team tandem, first time out as a team, had a blast and learned alot. Seat time is a must:

Rained a bit but that didnt stop us:

All in all the car handled really good, I wish I would have had the PBM coils on before the event but I never got them in time, still tho car ran good, no break downs. Only tore off the Gtr lip.

Had so much fun meeting up and chilling with Shawn,Steve and logan From drift union. Hotboyz and the dead beat island guys aswell as they threw down reall hard. This will be a yearly trip for sure.

Also met Mr Mag aka Marc G down there.
