Its been about 18 months since I've been active on the forum, and a lot of things in my life have changed since. I purchased a house in May 2013 and my girlfriend delivered my 8lb-6oz baby boy on December 14th 2013.

So its been a long bloody time since I've done much of anything to my car. This week I corrected that horrible injustice.

One of the first things I did when I got the keys to my house was to call a electrician to wire 220 service to my garage. I bought a Lincoln SquareWave 175 late last year. I finally fabricated and welded out my turbo's dump pipe, I still need to weld the o2 sensor bungs. I placed the wideband's hole about 36" downstream, I wonder if I can put the OEM sensor about 12"-18" downstream without cooking it. Yesterday I fabbed up and tacked my wastegate piping (decided to go with screamers). Tomorrow Ill finish the welding, and figure out what Ill need to plumb my WG's to my boost controller. I'm also considering running coolant lines to my WG's, shouldn't be hard to "tee" and "y' off of the lines running to the turbo. I'll also probably ditch the two banjo fittings I have on the compressor water in & out, they seem too restrictive. If all goes well, I might be able to start my intercooler piping soon. I forgot to mention that I bought the Plazman plenum I'll post up some pictures in the next few days.

So Ive ordered two TiAL MV-S (38mm) wastegates, (2x) 3" 304 stainless round tube 2' Long, 60 degree 304 stainless mandrel bent elbow, and a 3" stainless flexible exhaust coupling. Ive figured out the angle I need should be around 60 degrees from the back of the turbo. Ill have to make my own angle pieces on the bottom bend of the dump pipe, but not a big deal.

I decided to pull off my powersteering pump to give it a blast of rattle can black. The paint was flaking off, so theres no point leaving it in there looking shitty when everything else will be fresh. I sent the 3 brackets for the PS pump and 1 bracket from the alt in for powder coating. Im hoping I get the brackets back Friday afternoon so I can put the pump back in this weekend.

Ill have to start planing the plumbing from the WG's back into the exhaust once I get everything situated.

Ok now Im looking to order my wastegates as I want to start laying out my dump pipe. Im a little confused as to what sized gates I need.

    38MM or 1-3/8"
    56MM or 2-3/16"
    44MM or 1-3/4"

You may think that because the green lines are 44mm that I may need a 44mm wastegate, but I found this webpage that shows 38mm gates have a 1-3/4" OD inlet. So ya Im confused as to what I should get.

I have all the turbo lines figured out now. Im waiting for two 90 degree fittings for the oil and water return's at the turbo.

I have a problem with my steel exhaust manifold gasket. It seems that the rivets holding the three thin gauge pieces that constitute the gasket will interfere with fit up. Im guessing that removing the rivets wont affect anything? The install instructions for the gasket clearly shows that the rivets shouldnt be anywhere near a mating surface on the manifold or head....yet all three rivets are in the way. The gasket only fits on one way, so its not a positioning issue.

You should check out nelsonmxmarc‎'s project thread. He kept the whole thing pretty much except cut a hole in the front of it and welded the existing spot closed.

Thx Bellis, ya Ive been looking at plenums. I want to keep the runners as long as possible because I dont want to lose any torque. I think a PlazmaMan style plenum is probably best option since it only replaces the top half, but the throttle bodies are overpriced.

Looks really good! love the looks of everything. Only thing you need is a front facing plenum!

Thx guys, its still a work in progress. Luckily I was able to make enough room in the garage to squeeze her in. Now I can move at my own pace (turtle) all winter, which is very nice. Ya James, I havent seen you in ages, I want to check out the GodZilla. Rumor is that I have another week of ass time til the next shutdown but who knows. I got a case in the fridge man

New alt pulley and valve covers power coated black, I got the coil pack and timing covers coated too. I decided to get the exhaust manifold ceramic coated. Mocking up my lines to the turbo right now, I have to order a few fittings. More to come.

    More Progress:

I got the crank off yesterday and sent my timing covers and valve covers out for powder coating. I ordered some light weight alternator and water pump pulleys. Ill pull off the pulley on my power steering pump and get them all powder coated, along with my fuel rail.

Today I pulled out the stock turbo, exhaust manifold and dump pipe. I test fitted the 6Boost manifold and GTX3071, there are some clearance issues with the power steering reservoir. Ill have to move the reservoir and a hard line under the manifold. I also found out the the OEM intake piping just before the throttle body also wont fit. Looks like Ill have to put together some custom Intercooler piping. Im going to hunt down some water and oil lines for the new turbo.

Ya bro, I got back from a 4 week job in McMurray on Saturday. Ive been going hard since April, Ive only had about 10 days off or so since then. Luckily I dont start the next job til the 30th, so I have a little free time, not to mention me and the girlfriend just broke up too. Pretty much any day but Sunday is good for me James.

So Ive started installing parts on Babyzilla. I dove right into probably the most daunting job with tackling the ARP headstud install and Tomei adjustable cam gears. I pulled out the cams and torqued up the studs to spec, some of the old bolts were really cunty to get out. Ive put my cams back in but I think Im going to get my valve covers, timing covers, sway bar, and a few other parts powder coated for sexiest. The next fun step will be to reset my timing

Ive ripped out the front spoiler, charcoal canister, SMIC and piping. Ive had to take off the front rebar, radiator, and clutch fan for access. Im going to be taking off the OEM exhaust manifold and turbo, and test fitting/installing my FMIC and Top Mount exhaust manifold this weekend. Finally some progress with my build!!!
