cars pretty well done now, just need to put the hood and bumper back on and get it tuned.

it wasnt gettin spark on one of the cylinders but it turned out to be a loose ecu plug lol
test drive runnin on like 4 cylinders

its got a little valve tick but im hoping it will go away with a good oil change.

so here it is, i let the car idle for 2 hours or so and its amazing how much better controlled the temps are with the new intake manifold and dual core rad. before the old crossover pipe would get too hot to touch now its still ice cold!
valve ticking noise is completely gone as well, i guess it just needed to run for a while to loosen everything up or something.
heres a vid of the exhaust i swear this **** sounds sickk,

Looks like a fun car. Im sure you will love the 25 over the 20 for sure.

its crazy how much more low end power the 25 makes than the 20. im already in love with it!
turbo spools crazy fast too i was seeing like a bar by 3200 ish but i didnt want to go past that as its not tuned yet.
just waiting for my tuner to get the nistune stuff then its going on the dyno, hopefully next week

Great build so far! So the 25 just drops right in place of the 20 as long as you reuse the tps sensor??

Thats good to know and saves me from asking that question down the road
waiting till the states lets me own one legally...

^ya pretty much. Don't forget about the different injector and coilpack wiring though!

Weu got it tuned yesterday ! Made 275rwhp at 12 psi at racing greed.
I woulda took it up to 20 pounds but I only had a 6 psi spring in my wastegate and my boost controller got maxed out. Oh well learn from my mistake I guess in the spring ill go back for more

just need to roll and pull my fenders and swap some new tires on from my massive stock pipe of burners haha i think im up to 16 tires now.

not really much of an update as if you've been following my other thread i still cant get the car to run smoothly, even after trying everything in the book, so that's really the only thing holding me back from getting back on the dyno and seeing what 20-22 psi looks like.
but i did manage to make a new shiny intake. (stupid maf still makes it look like poo though)

i think tonight im going to try and swap in a stock rb20 ecu, from a friend of mines car, to see if its the tune that's all wonky.

oh and im on the fence of ordering a new clutch, anyone have any thoughts on the ACT 6 puck series?
leaning towards a sprung disk because of all the city driving i do.

wow so swapped in that stock ECU and boom car idled fine! really rich because i have 550's, but fine.
so it must be my tune then? im confused as to how it changed or what happened
time to call rg and see whats up

New clutch is on it's way to help with her new found power. going to shim my diff while I have everything apart, I meant to do it while I was doing the swap but I got lazy.

Still on the fence about recirculating my wastegate, having more flow and better power but excessively loud. Or a nice sounding exhaust note but sacrifice some flow.
Anyone have some videos of a recirculated wastegate?

finnally got around to shimming my diff, man i completely underestimated that job, must have taken me about 6 hours from removing the diff to shimming it and getting back into the car.
picking up the clutch from across the boarder tomorrow and then putting it in right away!

                            heres some pics

i opted for a 1.01mm shim ontop of the original 0.8mm shim in there, hopefully it should make the car a little more predictable when sliding.

Probably static damage, bad solders (common inside MAF, HICAS ECU, Engine ECU, behind dash, etc) on internal parts or could be loose board / socket inside (ECU would go into limp mode and wouldn't be able to access Consult), program on board inside ECU is corrupted (does happen if burn a file that's corrupted from laptop to ECU). Static damage can happen if not using antistatic wrist strap, anit static workbench when soldering, handling circuit boards, etc.

Thanks! Yeah that could have been from when nistune was installed I don't think ill ever know. I already bought a new ecu and had the nistune board swapped over. So when I put the car back together tomorrow ill fire it up and see what happens.
Racing greed seemed to think it was the idle control circuit inside the ecu because he was able to connect to nistune perfectly fine via consult.
