FINALLY DONE!!!! ...sorta.
After putting in my OS Giken this week, it was back to the dyno. This time there was alot of success, but a few snags. Essentially, there's loose ends and a few things I need to do before i can fully stretch the legs on this motor. We got an oil leak on the timing cover, some tranny rattle, and my AVCR was having some issues. We didn't have the best control of the boost, and thus didn't push it too hard or play too much with the timing. Good news is none of that really swap related, but more just "other" things for anyone considering this swap.
We capped it off @ 21psi, 431whp/367lbtrq. which happens entirely between 4500-6000. feels like pure violence. Insane. the car being much lighter (especially on the front end) it had me smiling and terrified at the same time. Probably will wait till winter before cleaning it up , adding some timing and settling on 500whp. anything beyond that is overkill.
Also, its worth noting that the handling and weight transfer now is AMAZING. I underestimated how much that part of the drive was going to change.1991 HCR32
