So at the track on Friday, on my last run my steering went heavy and the HICAS light came on and has been on ever since. My power steering fluid level is fine and so is the fuse. What else could it be? Only thing I could think of would be power steering pump, but how would I test that? Also, could it be anything else? r32 gts-t btw

Fluid level sensor could be stuck, try tapping on the side of the reservoir and see if that helps. Normally if a pump is going or has gone you'll know by the whining sound it'll make, it's very noticeable.1989 R32 Skyline GTR SOLD!!!!

When I bought the car both wires were broken off with no hicas light on and full steering. A couple months later, the light came on after the first time I turned the wheel while driving, and then days later went heavy due to a blown fuse. Replaced that and still had the problem where everything is normal as I start but after turning the wheels the light comes on. No problems though. Then the other day steering went heavy, no fuse is blown and as far as I can see, nothing has changed
