heh, I know what you mean!
I was feeling like a professional student for a while.
SO glad to be done!! I have somewhere around 200 credits from all the classes I took. An average degree would net you 110-120 credit hours.Fraser Valley Imports

If I felt like it, I could start earning high school grad credits as a Secondary School Apprentice working at a shop. I've been trying to do it for some time now, but no dealerships/shops in the area would probably hire on a one day a week student to work for them. (I wish one of the local GTRC sponsor shops was cool enough to do this...)
I know two people who are doing it in grade 12, and they're making a pretty penny working one Saturday a week...
This is what I get for being torn between becoming an English/PE teacher and going to UBC, or going into cars full-time and going to BCIT to enter the AST program there...Originally posted by ShadaoAll i could do was shake my head and say" Like a fine wine that has aged over the years and was taken care of will be a much nicer drink than one that was bottled yesterday."

I've got huge potential and I turn 17 in like 2 weeks (same day as FNF4 release lol). I'm an A- average student with an interest in history and cars, all while playing on a school rugby team(which is why I wanted a weekend shop job).
Anyone think a Skyline is somewhat affordable working at a shop every Saturday?Originally posted by ShadaoAll i could do was shake my head and say" Like a fine wine that has aged over the years and was taken care of will be a much nicer drink than one that was bottled yesterday."

i think having a skyline is affordable...as long as you have a garage to keep it in while you save up for the next fix/mod. DD can b good old public transit.
I just don't see the big fuss in affording a skyline. Just save up and don't end up borrowing money. It took me less than 2 summers of f/t work to buy mine. I guess having a gtr is altogether is something else...'85 Toyota ae86 - sold

skylines are nice...affordable, and reliable up untill you start moding the engine...
once you start tinkering you need to keep going...you do one thing another has to be done...
its like a domino affect...
if your in school or only have a part time job...like myself...a good idea is to SAVE YOUR MONEY and do everything at once...part hoard and dont start moding till you can do a wam of stuff at once...
will save alot of hassle and give you the ability to keep your car reliable...
on the other hand...it was suggest before...DD can be the bus and you can do w/e you want to your car..just dont expect to be driving it alot...Fraser Valley Imports.ca
