I'm gonna be starting small. Still looking for a job, and I'm gonna end up either at PriceSmart grocery store, or at Crappy Tire. Initially, the AE86 looks like a good starter, even if a car that old has its share of problems. However, it's a better option for a high school student than a Skyline.

I worked at crappy tire for awhile, its pretty bad. Try to get a good job as a teenager as a lot attendant or a detailing job. Its extremely straight forward and usually pays fairly good for a teenager.

I've tried that, but most places are only hiring full-time and I don't think they'll look to hire someone one day out of the week. I took a shot at applying for a position at a Toyota dealership in Langley ,but managed to get lost in the area since I wasn't familiar with it-blame the fact that the Bypass is Route 10 for some stupid reason.

I bought my skyline in part to having very awesome friends. He shared my love for cars, and was extremely generous. I was in school, but finished soon and also had good part time jobs which paid over 20 an hour.

I sold her because I was not really wanting to commute 200km a day in winter with it. I also needed some extra cash because my last year of school was sucking me dry big time.

Now I'm done school, and have made more since the beginning of this year than I did all of last year...and some of the year before that. I know have paid sick time, paid vacation (144hours), full extended benefits, pension and a few other things...not to mention my job is 100% recession proof. Overtime is no problem too...

I'm a Registered Nurse, working in ER.

My current car is for sale...she's been a great car and it has grown on me a lot actually...BUT I'm not commuting anymore, and I really would like another Skyline. I was going to get a GTR but there is a GTS-t that I'm very interested in. Either way, my next car will be savage. Neighbours will hate me and that's OK.

Are you an RN or an LPN (if the term LPN is even still used) ?

Either way, I applaud you for your career choice....because someone has to have the stomach to do it and I personally couldn't. I am far too emotional of a person and couldn't handle seeing injured kids etc especially in an Emergency Room environment.

Kudos to you for having the balls to do a job like that.

And thats why you have absolutely nothing. You gotta have that drive to get your own vehicles. Im 17 and have two collectable cars and a 4 banger for daily driver because I have the drive to learn how to work on them and pay for them. Ive had some garbage cars too, shitty diesel trucks and cars that have leak fuel lines that smell everyday. Skylines are no easy feat, it doesn't come from just working a summer. You gotta have that work ethic and learn to respect working hard. A 14,000 dollar GTR is a big achievement for someone under 20 and it takes alot of dedication and long nights working to afford one.
