i found it, the vented coil pack cover!

    Just cut the cover. Leave the back part intact so that you can still mount the ignitor properly. Ba dum, chshh... It's a free mod, who cares if it looks ugly

            not definitive evidence by any means, but prior to putting a HKS DLI on my car, it would misfire worse at high boost (600+whp) with the coil pack cover on than with it removed...and that stock cover that had been machined looks badass

                searched through 10,000 skyline/nismo/brand emblems on ebay before deciding on that one.

                  After seeing this I had to vent mine, been looking for a while how to vent the cover, but was never happy with the different ways it's been done. This seemed simple and efficient. Cheers.

                        Hi mate, I cut out the centre using a plasma disk and then finished off with a fine file.

                        I bought the alloy mesh from ebay and fixed the mesh in place using Plastic padding's Chemical Metal.

                        Hope this helps.

                          Did mine myself with a whole saw kit. Super easy. Then put some wire mesh behind it.
