What happened to TSS?

Thanks M13. Yes of course we tried to resolve this without legal issues first but they just weren't doing anything and the car was just sitting there. We eventually had a tow truck show up one day unannounced and got it towed out of there when we became very suspicious of them. Not only did we lose the money we paid them up front but a lot more parts that were on the car that they "misplaced." One of the reasons that we paid up front was because they said originally that they would have the whole project completed in two months ready for the SEMA show in Las Vegas which was of course just another lie.

I remember that car. Mine was in the shop at the same time.
They started disassembling it and selling the parts.
Steve told me you had "Downgraded" your expectations, and had run out of money to continue the build. So it was at a stand still.. Figures.
Hope it wasn't completely canabalized before you picked it up!

The parts that were on the car we were supposed to get credit for and never did. They told us our parts including our odometer were "misplaced" and that they would look for them and send us them. We have other people working on the engine now and it will cost another $15,000 just to get it running after everything they didn't do and what they messed up on that has to be redone. Apparently our $40,000 given to TSS didn't cover getting it running. They also sold another Skyline for us on a consignment type basis and didn't give us the portion of the money we were owed. Because of the odometer gone missing which had just over 70,000kms on it and switching and giving us one that had had over 180,000 it has depreciated the value of the car as well. I would suggest to anyone that bought a GTR from them in the last two years to check their odometer reading at time of purchase with the reading on the shipping documents and see if there is a diescrepancy. Our odometer is likely in someone's car who thinks they have over 100,000kms less than they actually do.

When i picked up my GTR from the island and began driving it back home, i swung through both Z tune and TSS, both awesome to see for someone from the prairie provinces made the trip well worth it.

Z tune couldnt fit me in for the work i wanted done so i went to TSS and they did a great job! put my oil filter relocation on, and did my timing belt and water pump and pointed out stuff on the car that needed attention in the future, did an awesome job but then again i never had any performance stuff done but as far as maintence goes they did a great job and sad to see theyre gone, just my .02 cents. the service was great steve and alicia personally drove me around so i didnt have to wait at the shop all day, and alicia offered great customer service on top of her smokin good looks.

Sorry to hear so many had bad experiences with them but I thought they were good

When it comes to full builds... that is where they have failed horribly at. One more than once occasion.

Putting "Skyline" in your name shouldn't make you the "go-to" shop. The reason they fit you in is because not many people went there anymore. Z-tune is booked for a reason.

Lets sue people when they **** us around. Its your own damn fault you paid in full up front. Thats the stupidiest thing you could do.

I always pay up front. That's also why parts take months to show maybe (multiple sponsors/personal sales on this site). Either way, how else do you pay lol.

Parts taking months to show up is whoever ordered them went with surface shipping vs sal/air/ems to save a few $$$ for there pockets.

If a client from some other shop comes to me and say sht about another shop I just keep my mouth sh and just say sorry to hear that.
Besides I'm not here to tell whos right or wrong.I will fix it for free and then have a customer with a good word about My shop.Not come here and talk sht about other shops.I can give a fck about any shop in canada or here in the usa.

I think obviously you must pay for parts ahead of time, but for labour to the shop, it's always paid after.

BOV and Gauges to name a few. Not to mention i was never informed when my car was vandalized and broken into so I couldn't make an ICBC claim for my missing stereo. Steve has avoided me like the plague.

Mine was a NISMO odometer. Hmm. Maybe they really did "misplace" it and it ended up in your trunk. We suspected that they put it in a GTR that the sold claiming it had much less KMs that it really did. That would be cool if that is our odometer and we could get it back. It has really decresed the value of the car. Thanks for your info.

ben just because you had a gripe with them doesnt mean they weren't a good shop. ive had many good experiences there, never once had a problem.

i had nothing but issues with steve from day1 - and 4years of his BS sent me over the top, im glad they are DONE! bwhahahahah!! idiot!!

now chad, and the rest were fine from my experience but it was the owner of that shop that made it horrible to deal with and prob the same reason it was driven into the ground with a stake! lol

We had no issues with Chad or Alicia or anyone else there. I think they were kept in the dark a lot of the time and were left to try and deal with some of the issues that had nothing to do with them.
