Has anyone looked into selling their 89 r32s to the us market when it opens up in 2014? anyone looked at what is required? thinking about projected market price increase? decrease to that of canada? my dream is to buy a r34 bring it over. pull out my motor out of my 32 swap over all goodies to 34, mate motor to getrag. pull out 34 motor mate to 5spd swap in r32 and sell to us market to offset some of the cost of the 34.

I quickly looked into it last month and its just alot of paper work.
The most important part tho. If you sell your car in the states. And you bring back $10,000 or more. YOU HAVE TO DECLARE IT! You won't be charged taxes or anything. But if you don't declare it and they find it. They can/will seize it and you can kiss it all goodbye.

Well I'll be looking into this as well since my sedan is the proper age and will be kinda made for unique customers and I'll have more chance finding someone in the states. But paper work is always kinda nerve racking seems like. I just shipped my rb30 last week down to Cali n took quite a but of paper work just for a 28 year old motor. Ah well.
H4x6 I hope your right about not having to pay tax when declaring. Would suck if u did have too... :/89 r32 sedan

They just want to make sure it's not proceeds of crime, money laundeing or terrorism financing.Last edited by DarkCaporaL; 11-07-2012, 09:02 AM.R32 GTR FULL SERVICE MANUAL DOWNLOAD:

Shouldn't be any paperwork on the sellers part. Now that we're talking legal sales for them, theey can just come up and buy the car, and take it across the border legally. Paperwork is on the buyer, just like if we buy cars down there.
No more of this "drive it over and leave it" crap will be needed for them.
I can definitly see a market for us, and the prices going up though...thats for sure.
A 10k GTR here could likely be a 12-14k GTR sold to someone down there, maybe even more. Will be interesting to see.

No paper work involved. He gives you cash you give him regi.
As for price I think a slight increase. Nothing huge, Americans can import their own remembering they want for cheap.
Now if your having troubles selling that would be eliminated cause now the entire west coast can realistically buy your car. That's alot of people

Yea, no paper work on your side beside signing off as seller on your registration.. My question is who's bring that 34 to Canada?? Those r the ones were going to be trying to bring to the state, it will be a little easier.. Sorry to bust your bubble anyone but as far as pricing going up.. I don't see it happening.. It's going to be easier for us to bring in the 32.. But you can tax on the 34..*** JUST ANOTHER IGNORANT M*THA F*CKA FROM THE USA ***
