A little while ago I was at a small show and shine in my town and I was parked beside corvette and when we were talking he was saying how his car was the best car out at the show for handling at high speeds and that his vette was top ****. Now I politely disagreed and told him what my GTR was capable of and then we parted ways.

Now earlier this week one of my buddies went for a ride in this corvette and he was showing off his car by taking his TC off, burning rubber and saying how I couldn't do that with my car. So I take that same friend for a ride with my AWD fuse pulled and showed him what i really can do and told him to pass that message on.

its funny really!
Dont forget our cars are like 18 years old and still stick with some of the best of even todays cars on the market. I know that when enough cash is spent on either our cars or whatever the other owns can do extreme numbers so i wont go there but with that being said im speaking of stock vs stock.

not only that but dont forget that even our old Skylines are ahead of their time man!

Definitley get some looks and funny questions with this car. Kids are the funniest, i was waxing my car on the street and these two kids ride up on their bikes and one said whoa a skyline, thats my dream car. he was about 8. then later they're riding back for another look and i hear him say to his friend, "you know what my first word was? mazda.....no wait, nissan.

Well, I don't own a Skyline, but I am powered by one. My examples are mostly about people appreciating, only a few are stupid questions. Here are a few situations I've been in:

At a light, guy in a Vette pulls up beside me-
Guy: Excuse me.
Me: Hey!
Guy: Dude, your car is turbo right?
Me: Yes it is.
Guy: That doesn't sound like a 240 though, it sounds alot bigger than a 4-cylinder, what engine is that?
Me: It's a Nissan Skyline engine.
Guy: Woah, are you serious? That's freakin' crazy man, good job buddy, keep up the good work!

When I drove my car for the first time this season, a Civic packed with 4 younger guys my age come up beside me while I'm driving and can't stop looking at the car the driver says:
Driver: "Yo, car sounds beefy dawg."
Me: "Thanks man, glad you like it."
Driver: "What turbo are you runnin'?"
Me: Factory turbo.
Driver: "But 240's never came turbo stock unless they're from Japan."
Me: "I know 240's didn't, but Skylines do "
Driver: "What the hell, you got a SKYLINE ENGINE IN THERE !!!?!?!"
Me: "You got it!"
Driver: "Whaaaaaat? Buddy, that's f***ing crazy, holy s**t, I'd never expect that!"

At a Darknights Auto Salon, some guy comes up to me with a group of his buddies:
Guy: "Um, this is a Skyline engine correct?"
Me: "Yep, it's an RB20"
Guy: (Looks and marvels over the engine and tells his friends that it's a Skyline engine)...."So these things have like 1000hp stock right?"
Me: (Couldn't bare it, I HAD to just to see the look on their faces) "Um, oh yeah man, a nice solid 1000hp :roll:! Now I have like 1500hp because of the intake, exhaust, ECU and intercooler."
Guy and his friends: "Dayum dawg, that things got fifteen-hundred horse power yo ."
Me:

At the same show, a guy walks by another 240 with an SR20DET swap and then walks over to my car.
Guy: "Sorry, but is this isnt a KA right?"
Me: "No, not a KA."
Guy: "So is this an S15 SR20?"
Me: "No, it's an RB20DET, Skyline GTS-t engine, 6 cylinder, single turbo."
Guy: "Ok, I'm still confused because Skylines have an illegal engine, this can't be a Skyline engine." *walks away*
Me:

The first show I ever took my car to, at this time, I still had the timing belt cover that said RB20 on it and my valve covers were painted black, guy comes up to me and says:
Guy: "This is an SR20 Silvia engine, right?"
Me: "No, it's an RB20DET engine, comes from the Nissan Skyline, GTS-t though not GTR."
Guy: "Naw man, that's a Silvia engine, it's an SR20, you got your facts confused, that's from an S15 Silvia man, it's called an SR20DET black top."
Me: "Dude, it says 'RB20' right there haha, it's not an SR, I know exactly what engine it is."
Guy: (his girlfriend walks up to him) "Take care man, nice car." He walks away, and I can CLEARLY hear him saying "That guy knows nothing, it's an SR20, it's not even possible to swap a Skyline engine into a 240."
Me and a couple of buddies were just laughing uncontrollably.

a guy outside mac's yesterday was talking to me about my car, he was lookin under the hood nowhere specific and said, nice turbo. lol its a stocker underneath a heatshield. then we talked about his friend who had an R34 with a "nurburgring" engine. ahah. then when i said whereabouts does he live he was like o he just sold it.

Him: Well cuz everyones keeping them now cuz they made them illegal just last week

me: ohh right..... *starts ignoring cs dude by looking out other side window*
random cs dude: well when u find a car worthy of beating my ralliart let me know *cs dude starts laughing to mate in passenger seat*

lights went green he launches it and i putt off slowly hit boost go past at half throttle with a nice bee r limiter flame going over his bonnet.

next traffic lights...

me to cs dude: wow nice lancer... does it come in male?
random cs dude: *winds window up and turns up stereo*




My brother in alw and i also build hondas ( i know dont flame me) and we have a stock looking old integra with a b20 turbo thats had its fair share of work done to it. It last ran a 11.5 without the turbo setup.

me: would be funny then if a non turbo honda motor destroys a GM motor (i had no turbo on then)
monaro: not possible... the fastest NA honda motor in australia can only run a 13 second and my stock monaro is faster then that
