    Condition initial:

May I remember you the car was painted last year ?

    Wow.

    *Wet-sanding*

    Voyez comment l’image est distortionné,piquotté ?

In fact, this panel had way too much orange peel compared to the rest of the car ( well both fenders were wet-sanded).

    Deep scratches:

So let’s do it.

I’m very happy to present you my second Supra of the year. However that car gave me a good amount of headache being repainted and I can’t say the quality of the job was high-end. Polishing those job are always touchy and I can’t guarantee anything when I see the paintjob wasn’t done ‘’high-class’’. So, I told the owner that it would be better than before but that it.

    Here’s some before pic:

After the wet-sanding, the guy simply did a quick compound but never did a polishing and his compound wasn’t top. I could tell.

Prepping the car with a more agressive solution :

    Après la clay bar:

    Now, here’s the after-shot :

Tapping the car, that,s not something I usually takes in pictures but I guess I will know so I don’t hear any false accusation.

    I’m now ready for a fifty-fifty:

Here's my grandpa malibu, last time he waxed his car he said he took 1.30 so I thought he needed some help from his grand-son .

    2 bucket wash
    Clay bar
CG Nano polish on white pad CCS
    DP Max Wax
    Aquapel treatment windshield et backglass
    Plastic polish
    Autoglym rubber protector
    Microfiber

    After:

    After:

Pic after the polishing and DP max wax.

I know you guys likes when I add more than just pictures. So, here's a video I took to show you how Aquapel is still going strong after 5 month of salt, winter and sand abuse!

    Wax used :

    After-shot :

This is my personal opinion and since I done the car, I’m sure going to say it look really nice but for a 10yr old black paint, I’m verry impress with the finished reflection and overall shine of the car.

    Siiiickkk!

    Great visual effect :

    Thanks for looking!

It’s funny how many times Ross told me ‘’ wow you really aint missing a spot hen! ‘’. Yeah because Ross was with me the whole times. We had a good conversation together, we know each other since 2-3 years now so I’m pleased I finally got to do his car.

    See you!

Forgot the before pic; engine bay, treated with uv protector

See the trim protector is also rain repellent

Interior: needed a good extractor wash and extra care is needed for those recaro seat.

    After the cleaning:

Brush everywhere to clean between cracks:

Clean enough? I then finish the job with a nice odor eliminator for a clean fresh smell.

So here’s another Impreza under my belt. Some parts has been repainted and I was asking to make it blend with the new paint and correct over-spray issues or usual stuff that bodyshop don’t do but actually should do when you pay 3000$ for a job.. *cought* That’s the reality, most bodyshop don’t like to do detailing, all they care is painting and must of them can’t even do it right, oh well, I’m not having the pretention to be able to paint, I can’t. However, I can tell you if a paint job is nicely done or not. The owner will be going back a third time to have the roof redone.

    Anyhow!!! Here’s some before pics:

Foaming the car to prevent scratch from the washing:

    Clay bar is done:

    Condition of the paint:

    50/ 50 shot:

    Other side of the line..

    Metal polish on exhaust:

    Wheels are clean!

    Some wet-shot:

Inspecting the paint with different lighting, tried to show the deeper scratch. Obviously, under a super bright light with my camera at 3 inch from the paint is more visible but in real life, it’s a lot better.

    Enjoy!!

Here’s how the car came in :

Missing a good load of reflection for a car that has been detailed like 2 months ago

Those deep scratches were on every single panel of the car!! It was a nightmare, I won’t lie, I’m not a magician, I couldn’t correct every single one of these but I made them a lot least obvious than they were before.

Foaming the car to reduce chance of scratching the paint:

    Cleaning the wheels:

Taking reading of the paint. As usual, bmw comes with a good load of depth:

    After-shot:

I wanted the flake to pop out of the paint so I went with something more metallic:

    Polished headlight since first job..:

    Grills were cleaned too:

    Perfect finish:

Wheels had a coat of wheel sealant + tire gel + inside wheel well detailed.

Enjoy guys! I’ve got so many mores to show you, I just need times to upload the pics.
