      Volvo S60 charcoal

Initial condition: Lot of brake dust on wheel, faded plastic trim, almost white, paint is pretty mat too and chalky and lots of RDS ( Random deep scratches)

      Riccardo clay bar
      SSR2
      Orange pad Lake country CCS
      Makita
      Hi-tech spray wax
      QD+ spray wax
      303 Protector

Prepping the car to not stain the plastic trim

For 1-step, I'm stunned by the correction

No doubt the wheel look better and the wheel well have been detailed too

Pretty wet for a pearl charcoal paint!

Exemple of some RDS I corrected

      Better no??

      Headlight polishing

      Trim protective treatment.

      thanks for looking!

Since it's way too hot over here, I decide to do some work inside in the garage !

Polishing a cluster cover and then coated with a sealant for anti-static protection.

          Before:

          After:

          Look tons better now!

I thought this detail was too hot to include it in this thread, However here's the link, for futur reference, a Skyline GTR R32 showroom condition 99% correction.

FREAKIN CLEAN CIVIC EG6 RHD detailed for a car show

So, after the skyline, I had another RHD I had to do before the next week car show.

The car is 100% OEM, with oem paint and oem rubber! OEM wheel too. 20 year old paint is usually in very bad condition and considering the car is black it's even worse! The challange I had to deal with is the very thin paint left on the car. About 100 microns. So, instead of doing a full correction and remove like 20 micron on the paint, I decide to remove about 10 microns and the rest would be final polishing to burnish the paint for a higher wetness and reflection. This way your eyes won't see the swirls/defect but the extreme wetness the paint shows.

Also, the owner wanted something really durable. So, I decide I would put one coat of Klasse High gloss sealant instead of a wet-looking carnauba wax like Pinnacle souveran ( too bad, it would have been even more wet after haha)

              Product:

              2 bucket washing
              MEG shampoo +
              Sheepsking wash mitt
              Lot of Microfiber
50/50 alcohol/water for final wipe down.
              SSR2 | Orance CCS
CG Nano polish | white pad
Menz Final polish II | white pad
              Riccardo blue Clay bar
              Klasse Sealant
              PB Wheel sealant
SSR2 | WG finger applicator on wheel
303 protector on trim and engine
              Meg APC+ 4:1 for engine.
              PB QD+ for added slickness

              Initial conditon of the paint:

Pretty intense under 2x 250w halogen spot:

              Hood:

              Key scratch... Hater I guess:

              50/50 shot!

A lot better hen! This is after doing my 3 pass compound.

              Hood:

              fender:

              Quarter panel:

Left light is untouched, I hope you can see the difference. Result will be better once I polish with Plastic polish.

No before. Sorry guys, but, at the end, what is important is the final result no ?

After-shot, paint is darker, reflection is better, wetness factor and the clear coat is no more oxided.

              Wet tire too!! haha

              The sky is the limit!

              Free advertising haha!

I've been able to diminish the effect of the key scratch but as you can see, when it's white, it's because you see the under the paint, there's no way to correct this kind of defect.

here's my favorite shot!! see how wet it is!

              See ya next week guys.

No comments, I guess you don't like civic even if it's rhd lol.... Here's a dodge superbee 1968

I had 5 hours to do the best I could do bring that car to a showcar quality. Oonly 5 hours. I took 15 minutes to analyse the paint and such and then I decide I would do a polishing to remove all the haze on the paint then do a glaze to bring back the wetness. then I top it off with high quality expensive wax, the Wolfgang Fuzion estate wax.

                Product used:

                Polishing | White pad
Malco Glaze | Blue finessing pad
                WG Fuzion wax
Wheel sealant + metal polish on wheel.
Anti-static protectant on trims and rubber.

Same treatment as the car paint ( polishing, glaze, wax)

My good friend asked me to detail his Skyline for the CAD SHOW that happened yesterday. I had 3 days ( 6 hours) to do the most I could to make it shine. The paint was extremely fade and some clear was missing at certains spots. So , I had very few microns to play with, perfect times to try out my new Optimum Poli-seal AIO.

                  Product used:

Optimum Poli-Seal AIO | White pad
                  Degreaser
                  Car soap
                  2 bucket washing method
Wheel brush for engine and wheel
                  Sheepskin mitt
                  Bissel portable extractor
                  Shop-Vac
                  CG Odor eliminator
                  Ultra-look vinyl conditionner
                  Stoner glass cleaner
                  Wolfgang Fuzion wax
                  + + !!

Oh yeah, keep in mind, my buddy wash his skyline approx. 2 times a year. In 3 years, he only wax it once and when he wash his engine it's with his old oil!

Pics after the poli-seal and WG Fuzion wax

A lot more cleaner than before. wheel well were detailed too

                  Great clarity.

                  Metallic flakes popping!

So much sh*t on his paint haha!

                  Engine after:

Interior before: the guy never cleaned his interior in 3 years, so just imagine how dirty his whole interior was.

                  Nasty hen !?

                  After shampoing the whole car:

See ya, I got like 4 other detailing to post haha!

Here's my working place. I'm waiting for a 350$ order by the way haha. There's at least 2500$ worth of detailing products.

Finally, this is some pictures of how I manage to put everything clean ( well, I try!) and I almost used all these products on the shelf. Some products are not there, like my grinder for polishing metal (too big, it’s mounted on my working table).

Yeah Yeah, I’m ballin with my 700$ PTG haha.

                            Samething as the Black Murano.

                            wash with quality shampoo
                            Clay bar
                            1 step polishing
                            DP max wax
                            Engine shampoo
                            Interior ''quicki''
                            Windows polishing
                            Headlight polishing.

Engine: treated with anti-static plastic protection for a longer good-looking engine.

Headlight: 3-step polishing system + sealant for extreme protection.

Close-up. highly oxided hence why there's very minimal reflection

                            After!!

RDS: Random deep scratches on driver door: Let see what I can do..

After: A lot better no? the owner seems in admiration haha!

                            Polished the windows.

                            Some 50/50 shot without waxe.

Some after-shot. the wetness and reflection is def. higher than what you usually see on the street!

This car is only 2 years old but it has been sitting at the dealership for the past 9 months. You know what this means? a dealer usually change his wash bucket every 10-20 cars. Let say they wash the car once a month x9 in that same nasty wash bucket. You end up with a nasty swirled paint

                              Before:

Nothing special here, tried the Chemical guys Nano polish on a LC coarse green pad.

                              AFTER:

Wax is PB limited edition Natty's RED that make the pearls pop but because of the light I had this day, the light don't show the quality of the wax.

                              exhaust tip polishing:
