no rebuild, just a clean up. compression is good.

it's just easier to do things like re-seal the pan and replace the rear main seal with the engine out of the car... and also installation of the single turbo kit. I will have it all on the block already, and then put the engine back in. Aside from the one snag I had with the phantom bolt, 13B's are actually very easy to pull. I can see why a lot of rotary guys prefer to pull the engine whenever they need to do a little bit of work.

PS>> Chris we will be TD06 brothers. I just won this kit for a awesome price. http://page13.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/r54049511

TD06 FTW!! We'll have to compare spool times and engine acoustics once you're done Is that turbo in good shape or are you going to rebuild it as well?

      Should be fun

turbo is in good shape, but I'm going to rebuild it anyways to be safe.

my spool times will be faster since my engine is the equivalent to a 2.6L piston motor. I am expecting 1 BAR at approx 3400-3600RPM from research I've done on this setup.

Nice! I'll be keeping a close eye on your build thread, since I just picked up an FD myself! I'll keep mine pretty stock except for the all so important reliability mods and mabe some wheels and suspension!

          Anyways,
looks good man! When do you think she'll be back on the road?

max 2 months, but hoping for sooner.

it all depends on how the funds flow.

Pic of my engine close up. Notice the red and green markings? This, along with the RTV that was used to seal the oilpan leads me to belive this engine has been rebuilt at some point in time.. good news!

aaaannnd... parts. I have WAY to many o-rings and crush washers, seems like everything on this engine has an o-ring or crush washer sealing it.

                also ordered the following,

                new 850cc injectors

                banzai motor mounts

once I get the rear main seal done, oilpan re-sealed and the engine mounts the engine will be going back in the car.

                hopefully within 1-2 weeks.

new parts just ordered! Innovate LC1 and a new clutch disk (got oil on mine when I pulled the engine)

Basically only one large item left which is a PFC and possibly an intercooler.

After that it's just small OEM parts that I need to get it all back together.
