The sport's called MMA. I hope you're not one of those people who refers to the sport as UFC. That'd be like referring to all forms of hockey as NHL.

Kimbo will be on this season of TUF.

Lesnar would destroy Kimbo. Kimbo has absolutely no ground game.

I still hold to the thought that if Mir could have taken the fight into the late rounds, he could have won.

        I couldn't be happier about Hendo/Bisping, though.

kimbo doesnt have a chin either... the only reasons hes on TUF is because dana white said that if kimbo ever wants into the UFC the only way he could do it is through TUF.... and the other reason why dana white even let kimbo on the show was becuase of ratings.... kimbo is a big draw for mma due to his youtube videos, but he will get destroyed by anyone... he wont even get to see brock...

the fedor vs brock most likely will never happen...

Isnt the sport called mixed martial arts no fall on the guy and dry hump till you get a spot where you can punch him. Lesnor is a trashy, talentless, showboating bum and frankly if he didnt weigh 45 more pounds than everyone in the weight class he wouldnt have a shot at a win let alone be the champion. The fight reminded me of the old fights where Royce Gracie would just grab the gii wait for a submission all in all I thought it was a boring fight kind of a waste of time.

****, I forgot the chin part haha.

And, notice how there are no qualification fights this season in order to make it into the house?

You should work on your spelling and grammatical skills. Yes, this is just an internet forum, but some effort would be appreciated.

Lesnar executed effective control on the mat and some viscious ground and pound. I wouldn't call him talentless. He was a NCAA wrestling champ, and has incredible physical attributes. (See his results from the NFL combine)

But yes, his size/power does tend to help smooth over any technique/skill issues.

I called all the fights right . Aki, Hendo, GSP, and Lesnar. Don't those crazy Mir debaters at the beginning feel stupid now? Waste of your time and breath I say. My fave fighter without a doubt is Fedor... but I doubt even Fedor could beat Lesnar(and yes I know he beat Hong Man Choi who's bigger/heavier). Lesnar is a huge guy, that is actually coordinated and even athletic.

When he fights in the octagon he's almost at 300 pounds. It's like having a quarter mile time bracket of 13 - 10 second cars, Lesnar would be a 9 second car, while Mir an 11 second if you can understand what I'm trying to say. We just watched Mir get beat the crap outta him at his prime...

Maybe you are right, I should work on my spelling and grammatical skills. You are right about this being an internet forum. I didn't realize you were a high school English teacher or that it was such a big deal.

Lesnar executed effective control? He wouldn't stand and bang with a man who was no doubt 30-40lbs lighter. On the mat he smothered Mir. Yes it was vicious ground and pound, but for all the hype I was disappointed. I will respect Brock Lesnar when he checks his attitude and submits someone.

Brock Lesnar can hammer fist, wow can that man hammer fist lets see something new. Is an Oma Plata too much too ask for? How about an arm bar give us something.

His NFL combine numbers? Did he get to play a regular season game? No he didn't, not one. If his numbers were so amazing he would have started and played the whole season.

he didnt really use hammer fists that much this time... most of them were viscious uppercuts on the ground...

and yes he executed effective control... if he hadnt done so mir would have either submited him or gotten out of the position lesnar held him in... lesnar doesnt have to submit anyone, it isnt his style... its like expecting royce gracie to KO someone out... as for an oma plata, you prolly wouldnt even know what that is if it werent for joe rogans constant blathering, and i dont think brock has the flexability and is too big to pull off such a submission... now arm bars and kimora's are doable... but its not his style, hes a GnP specialist thats what he does

It just helps get your point across more easily and helps other read it.

-What does weight have to do with wanting to stand and strike. That isn't Lesnar's forte, nor was it his game plan. Was he supposed to stand and bang just to please people?

-Disappointed? did you expect Lesnar to come out a la Chuck, Wandy or Shogun? See early Mark Coleman, Kevin Randleman

-Most fighters are a tad cocky. Many people in the business say you need to be at that level. Supreme confidence in your own abilities, if you will. They trash talk. Get over it. Though, I do agree that Lesnar could be a little less WWE.

-Why must Lesnar submit someone in order for you to respect him? Do you respect Shogun, Chuck, Wandy, Vitor, Mirko? He is a wrestler, though, so I guess he could try some keylocks or kimuras.

-Yes, an Oma Plata would be too much to ask for. Was that a joke?

-Minnesota wanted him to play a season of football in Europe, as a tune up before coming to the NFL. Brock chose not to. End of story. Did you ever think that all the physical attributes were there, but the football specific knowledge was not?

"He weighed in at 283 lbs, ran a 4.65 40, had a vertical jump of 35 inches, a standing long jump of 10 feet, and was able to bench 225 lbs at 30 reps."

So, as far as I know, that's the story with the NFL.

I'm not super cool, nor do I claim to be. I simply enjoy discussing MMA. It's just a bit annoying if people refer to the whole Sport as UFC. If you weren't doing that, then my apologies.

Best fight was Hendo/Bisping for sure, that last one was personal! Love it.

Anyone notice how lean Bisping was for the fight? Buddies made a lot of crack/heroin/downtown vancouver "training" inserts for shits and giggles during the fight.

GSP just dominated, exceeded my expectations. I don't think he should up to Middleweight JUST to fight Silva, that's a "dream match" but seems a bit too much for GSP.

We cheered hard for Mir just because Lesnar was being a douche and walked away from the hand tap/shake @ start of the match. Also the end bit where he fingers the fans and taunts them? WWE much? The crowd was loving Mir. Weigh in was 20 lbs difference but @ match it looked like at least 35 lb of mean raw muscle. I thought Lesnar was on his lean side for this match and really just beat the daylights out of Mir so he couldn't take him to the stand up where he is superior at.

Overall, like I said, UFC pulled it off. That was a good 100th PPV event.

Can't wait 'til 101 and watch Silva dominate. Poor Forrest...
