Too bad you weren't in the okanagan. Every car that gets built around here is built by about 5 friends. Crappy the coast doesn't share the same attitude.

See while I would appreciate the help for bit things like removing the block, I bet I would be such a nazi when it came to doing everything right. Put it this way, I was wire wheeling all of my bolts that go in the engine bay to shine them back up ... I doubt anyone would be able to deal with me.

Some more updates.

Today I removed..

-Transmission (more of a PIA than I thought it would be)
-Driveshaft
-PowerPlant Frame (this is what causes issues)
-Engine Subframe

I started removing a bunch of the heatshielding in the transmission tunnel to clean them and prep the surface under it for some rubberized undercoating

Before I can really do much more I have to deal with re-coating the subframe and putting that in. Otherwise I can not roll the car outside to clean the engine bay and underbody.

So things I need to do before installing the new engine.

"quiet car" coat the tranny tunnel
undercoat tranny tunnel
clean and paint transmission
clean and paint engine subfram
buy flywheel
buy oil pan brace
buy a few gaskets

INSTALL!


Then it's a matter of slowly installing the peripherals..
