You're right, why should we risk being governed by a globetrotting scholar when we can have a proven liar put us deeper in debt?

How about a reason to give Harper more power when he's already proven he is absolutely incapable of handling the checked power he's already been handed? My reasons to oppose Harper as PM aren't based on other leaders or what they "might" do. I am basing my argument on the things Harper has already done, on record. Judging the last 5 years of his rule to decide if he's worth rewarding a majority to.. and the answer is a resounding No!

most everyone i know is voting Harper.. seems the his negatives dont rub people the wrong way... or maybe they aren't truly negatives..

It's not so much about following politics, as it is about seeing a problem developing quickly & trying to fix the problem before it becomes a disaster.

Harper is the most dangerous PM in Canadian history. ALREADY. Handing him a majority gives him dictatorial power over Canada. Already, as a minority govt, he has been operating as if he has majority power. He's already refusing to compromise, he's already breaking LAWS, he's already eroding your rights -- even if you're too unwilling to realize it. The entire reason there is such an anti-Harper movement this election should be your first red flag. Wake up.

People across the world have been fighting with their lives to remove their corrupted govt regimes & have democracy. Here in Canada, our corrupt govt falls on it's own & you're willing to not only put it back in power, but give it UNCHECKED, TOTAL POWER. Look around you, the water in this pot is beginning to bubble. There's still a chance to jump out.. but you have to know which way is up first.

NDP is actually kicking ass, which has it's negative effects. Since apparently Cons have succeeded in keeping their followers with kittens, rocking chairs and propaganda, it means that now they have a better chance to go major because of the "non-harper" votes being dispersed between the NDP and Libs. S*its f*cked up man. I guess If you're in a strong cons territory, go Lib. I saw an interview with Iggy and I wasn't impressed with his non-sense answers. Still he must be more competent than Harper, we need a change.

I love Layton (and his moustache) but his left wing economic policy could be unstable. I think a minority Lib party with a strong NDP seating would be the best we could hope for.
