  • I got my facility quote and my God. It's like I've said before, I understand that you have to pay to play, and it's comes down to how bad you want it.

I guess I know what it feels like to be 18 again HAHA...

      • Unless you luck out somewhere hard or somehow manage to get specialty coverage, you're left with facility -- which won't deny you, but will charge you a lot.

        • I finally got insurance. I used a broker through Dalton Timmins. You require a perect driving record, no claims, be over 40 and let them insure your other vehicle and house and give up your first born male child.

The insurance company is called Northbridge Gereral Insurance.

I hope this helps some of you.

          Good luck.

Thanks, but right now I am close to that, close to perfect record (1 speed ticket 12 over), close to no claims (unfortunately I truck wrote off my gtr 2 months ago), close over 40 (jokes I am only 33,but getting there, lol), close to have my own house, close to give up on my first child (my wife just said that is a good idea he is a pain in the ass anyway, lmao).
              Thanks

              • When I was with Facility, I had gone through Amy So at North York Insurance (about 3 years ago now).

                • Both brokers I dealt with had it as an option, but neither one seemed to "offer" it. It was explained to me at one that Facility gives the broker a lower % cut -- so many brokers don't seem to want to offer it unless you explicitly ask for it in my experience. I know mine is facility backed but through Royal Sun and Alliance.

                  • A buddy of mine just bought an EVO IV and he was able to insure it through State Farm because of all the other toys he has with them (cars, bikes, house, etc).

                    Just an FYI.

Thanks for info, We are trying to insure it, We've called so manny places and nothing, I hope it can be insured as i already have invested 7g in parts for it and I still have a long way to finish it.

In worst case I will have to sell or part it out!

                      • I'm in Alberta, and used to be with Allstate, but have now switched to Dominion of Canada. They've provided full coverage on all my GT-Rs, and even my '95 STi, which I listed as 'modified for performance'. I pay $650/year for my GT-R. I'm over 40, though.

                        • Is it just the GTA area that gets ripped or does all of Ontario suffer the same disease?

Baked comment. This is the Eastern section. Everyone over here knows how good you guys have it. Stop jacking these threads to input how good your rates are. Or move to Ontario and really see what your facing...
Dang! You got shocks, pegs... Lucky! You ever take it off any sweet jumps?

                              • Not being a **** dude. Most guys in TO are paying that each month lol. I'm only paying 400 a month and have cancelled my insurance cause I'm sick of getting magnum bottles in my rear end...
