Three people I know were with Belair Direct is Intact for about 10 years. A coworker recommended them as being cheap Insurance. Recently I found out that they staff about 6 people who work in the same office as Intact on University Ave.
Their bad experience with Belair Direct was a result of a claim or trying to get a straight forward answers. I found out Intact has a very large call centre with people who just answer the phone, but they don't appear to be very knowledgable, or licenced to answer questions and often contadict each other, each time they were called. Maybe they hope you get confused and give up? When a complaint was filed they ended up getting passed around between Belair Direct and Intact staff who give you misleading information throughout the months that passed. The final results were: Insurance premiums tripled, gave up trying or recently got their cancelled right after paying their renewal for asking questions about their Insurance or the company's policies. They should change they name from Belair Direct to Beliar Direct.
Its pays off to ask a lot questions before you decide who to go with for your Insurance needs. I also think it's best that you don't give your name, just in case they think you are a potential risk for asking questions. I'm sorry if I posted this message twice, i'm having computer problems.

But, what I didn't find was that apparently you MUST be insured with them for a full year? And on top of that, you must pay the full amount up front or "finance" the amount?
Anyone with Facility?? Chime in?
Im inusured with facility (or Nordic as its now called) for my R33 gtst and i didnt have to pay the full amount or have to stay for a year (not that i was told anyway). I bought my car in march 2010 and insured in may, drove it till the end of september and since then has been sitting with only fire and theft insure on it. I was even able to renew the policy last year by keeping it insured for only fire and theft. The pricing is high (reason why i didnt drive it last year) but for insurance just sitting is 10$/month. Im hoping it will be cheaper this summer tho cuz i am definitely gonna wanna drive it this summer.
Note: car was appraised when i got it insured and made sure i got full value in case of accident which i dont know how much if affect priceNote: Turbos make torque and torque makes fun

yeah I was quoted 400/month by them. clean record, full value too. When I was with them (3 months back in early 2010, they did have a cancellation policy but if you were leaving for another company (cheaper rate), they didn't ding me (actually sent me a cheque).93 R33 GTST - DD

Vin Number
Hey guys i've seen tons of posts about the vins but they seem to be a little dated.
What am I supposed to tell my broker about the vin? I already said I dont have it handy because my car isnt here obiously and I would personally rather tell her what to do (somewhat) instead of her going and asking a million people and eventually trying to get rid of me. Is there an override function that insurance companies should use??
Thanks!!!97' R33 GT-R Vspec

Further to my previous post, what is a work around to them not having my vehicle in their system. According to another broker, they can't rate the vehicle unless its in their system. What can I do from there?97' R33 GT-R Vspec
