  • Finally a Skyline Owner

Okay, after a couple months, and after a lot of advice, I have finally purchased my Skyline, I pick it up on Saturday and I can NOT wait, I have NO patience haha.

Here are some photo's (Sorry if I have posted this in the wrong forum)

    1991 Nissan Skyline GTR

Haha dirty engine bay, that photo kills me.. I cant wait to get the car in my hands so I can do a major detail.

Annnd this is what's done to it:

    Rb26dett twin cam
    2.6 litre twin turbo
    Intercooled
    4 inch exhaust system
    Down pipe
    All wheel drive (atezza ets)
    All wheel steering (hicas)
    Blitz blow off valve
    Blitz turbo timer,
    Greddy oil catch can
    Iridium spark plugs
    Oil change last week (synthetic)
    Apex-i twin turbo filters
    Kansai strut bars front/rear
    Seibon carbon fiber vented hood
    Project "u" foot controls
    Adjustable racing coil overs
RARE advan 18 inch model 5 wheels (just got re-powder coated)
    Endless brake pads
    Cross drilled rotors
    Sparco steering wheel,
Sony explod sub woofer w/ 800 watt amp in enclosure
Pop up in dash monitor with remote & touch screen Dvd/cd/mp3/ipod
    Rear mounted back up camera
Power windows, Door locks, Mirrors, Tilt steering, A/c,
    Nismo racing stripes.

Not bad for my first Skyline. The car is MINT, and when I mean MINT I realllly mean MINT... it handles amazingly, was really well taken care of. I cant wait to get started on this car... except the thing is I dont even know where to start!

nice, i'm a big fan of wing-less skylines... nice car,

theres some questions that you should ask yourself to help figure out where you want to start..

      1..
are you going to track the car? if so... a lot or a little ?
      2..
you want to make big hp? over 500 is a big hp # to me...
      3..
or do you want a nice car just to drive around town?

      nice car

Thanks guys! And yes, I too am a big fan of wingless as well!

        Hmm...

        1. I may try out auto crossing it, see how that goes.. if I enjoy doing it then I'll stay at it... but its not high on my priority list.

        2. Yes, I do want to make it big horsepower... he already dyno'd it at just about 400hp.

        3. I want it to be a nice car to drive around town, but just because its nice doesnt mean it cant be super cast and also a track car

          Congrads, lady.

          Take care of it.

I race my "sky" all the time. Kills your tire but it worth it. It's such an amazing car on a track. You defenatly have to take it to proper race track (not a parking lot for AutoX), then you will appriciate it even more.
When the sun goes down, RPMs go up !

Welcome to the club. Now that is a better gtr than the one you wanted earlier. Clean, and close to stock. Now the only question remains are you happy with the current setup or do you want more? This of course will be dictated on your funds..... Anywaz, Congrats and enjoy.

white FTW, looks good. my only critisizm is a sony system in such an expensive custom enclosure. why not go with a higher end speaker/amp combo (i'm not blaming you bucause as far as i can tell you bought it this way, i just don't understand the people who will spend ~$2000 on a custom enclosure and only ~$300 on a sub/amp combo)

Same reason I spent over 10g's building a 650 horsepower motor but refused to change to a standalone...

                      I already spent enough #1. #2, I don't need the extra functions :P

First thing i would do is get rid of that irridium garbage and put simple copper plugs. "IMO" they work a hell of a lot better and give much less problems #2 keep the car running around 400 hp for a while. i say clean it up make it look good and a bit more responsive. just appreciate the power and technology of the stock RB26 for now and get a good understanding of the way the car works and handles itself. Then afterwards when you know a lot more and what kind of goals and project your looking for move on to the big numbers where you will be happy with the choice you make in the end. And just a side note lol get used to the attention...your gonna enjoy it for the first couple of months then your just gonna get annoyed lol good luck and happy racing!

You're on crack....Iridium is better than copper....What problem does iridium cause vs. copper? I think this comment takes the cake for bad internet advise:hit newb:
