B16 = Vitamins to my RB, lol

Sorry just pissing around. I see 2 clear issues,

    A) if you aren't prepared to run your car, let him smack all he wants. As me and my buddy say, run your car not your mouth. Older ludes can get hella fast and one miss shift or bad launch and his car might win.

    B) Honda\s started this industry so show some respect for them, they will make power forever and can be here for years. I just came from Cayuga on wensday where a little eg was running 8.9 1/4's as a practice run. Made me feel kinda dumb in my 12.88 skyline........

Bottom line is the guy can talk ****, because you aren't stopping him. until you line up and he sees your tailights, he will continue. Coming on here and asking whats wrong with him, I would say whats wrong with you, run the guy, if not then let him talk and maybe take a different car to the track when you go.

    Just my 2 cents

As long as we all agree that they will never make torque...lol

I am happy with the fact that although my GT-R will NEVER be the fastest thing on the road, but it will always atleast be a 100%/85% HP/TQ machine.......most Hondas (not including the "H" Boys) will always be 100%/65-70-ish% HP/TQ at best.....lol

      That whole "197 HP @ 7800 RPM / 139 Ft.Lbs @ 6100 RPM" thing just kills me.....lol

How much fun would a 400HP GT-R that made 275 FT.LBs be to drive I wonder ?.....lol

Unfortunately, the SI is NOT a car that I enjoyed driving around in the city. 7500 RPM shifts, to get your car TO MOVE, should be reserved for racing, NOT daily driving.......hehe

Anyways, my GT-R is slow, so I shouldn't even be commenting, but the Hondas have one thing going for them that the GT-R NEVER will (in North America 21century anyways).........AFTERMARKET BY THE TRUCKLOAD and not too pricey either.

Aside from the base price of the cars (not counting).......you can build a 550HP "B" alot cheaper than you can build a 550HP "RB"...PROPERLY..and THAT is a fact, thanks to supply/demand/market etc.
Honda wins ! (but I will never own one again.....lol)

Gearing makes up for lack of torque. They can have less, but with a tightly spaced gearbox and a 4.4:1 final drive in most B-series cars, it makes up for it.

yea i have to agree that most honda guys are cocky as hell and think that vtec is like some god like power boost that rivels nos. minde oyu i love my lil hondas but i know what they are. i have my respect fot them but i dont have any ilusions that they are the god of the car world. there is a reason that they call the skyline godzilla and not the loly civic

Not in this country....and not on this continent.

I hate finding myself defending Hondas...BUT; Have you ever driven or been outdriven by a 'charged S2000 ?

If 30% of the cars dissapeared from the North American Domestic 'Tuner' Market....what would be left ? Hondas and Acuras, DSM. They made OUR market what it is today.....not the GT-R, FD, RB, 2JZ. I give the EVO a PASS thanks to the DSM guys and the OLD 4G63.....but even THAT is too close to call.

Without Honda, Acura, Dodge, Chrysler, Mitsubishi with over 10 years of North American Tuner History.....would we even have a market ? or would I still be driving a Slammed/LT-1 S-10 because I couldn't afford a '60's Muscle Car ?

Give praise where praise is due......

My old turbo integra I sold is the only fast honda ive owned, Ive had JDM crx SiR ( b16 ) JDM 90 integra b16, NA integra's, LS vtec etc. Every one of them were VERY SLOW.

However..My turbo'd g2 teg was by far the quickest car ive owned or driven, it would put my gts to shame with ease.

But we must forgive these " ricers " we have all been there and done that, it was only 6 years ago that I bought my first integra and it had an LS vtec with a loud exhaust and boy did that make me feel like a ROCKET !

Its all an illusion and one day they will look back at themselves and laugh that they once thought their 130 hp DE-OH-ECH-CEE integra or SOHC 90 hp civic with an intake and " performance muffler " were fast.

              We all started somewhere :P

Very true it wasn't that long ago, we thought my buddies '97 SOHC Neon was, well not fast but fast enough for us. It was fun pwning Civic's in that thing though, we had a custom cold air intake, namely an AEM 3inch filter fitted to the stock intake piping, and a Flowmaster muffler. We could hear him from 2 or 3 blocks away. lol
It was great beating Civic's with it and them looking just dumb founded when we popped the hood 'cause they didn't believe us. lol
Now I've got my GTR and he's got his EVO 1, poor little Neon is sitting there rusting. Oh well now we need to get the Eclipse suspension done, and the Daytona back up and going.

If this guy doesnt have slicks and a big turbo to follow i wouldnt even bother wasting the gas on this thing. Or if you are going to race him at least put some money on this **** so he can pay for your gas and time. In the end it doesnt matter if its a Ferrari, Honda, skateboard:roll: if they have lots of $$ into w/e they have, they can make a pretty good time down the track..:drive:
At mission they had a scooter run 17's which was pretty impressive...

kinda miss out on this tread ...Honda,s are really fast down here ..that all people build really ...so far not one of theme has touch my best quarter mile time ....they make more power then me but they cant put it to the ground..
around here "in the maritimes" 400whp are daily driven ...on the highway they would smoke me ....my tuner runs 11.00 @139mph ...LOL..with "26 slicks

honestly it doesn,t cost 1/3 of what its cost to build a gtr right ...right now i could build a 450whp(pump fuel) daily driven low 11,s civic for under 10 grand ...that including buying the car

here my 10,s pass no wheel spin

                        it would actually be "HONMO"

or according to your logic, Nissan motorsports would be "NIMO"

Well the "Noob Checklist" does include bumping a thread that is at least 2 years old.

Former Honda owner right here, I was never beat by a GT-R, but then again, I only raced gymkhana and autox, not drag racing

Built specifically for turning, Aragosta suspension, Cusco sway bars, Brembos (stock), RE30's, Advan AD08's, Bride seats, lightweight everything, etc, etc

Fun car, I miss her sometimes, but the GT-R has something it didn't have, balls.
