    • lol, you Canadians have it too good. it is very difficult to find a gtr here in the states---not too mention one that is federal legal. you take what you can get. fed legal gtr's still bring upwards of $50k here.

the car was grenaded when I got it, hole in the block, crank shot, pistons slammed in to the head, etc. it had a family of feral cats living in it, needed body work, needed interior overhaul due to shoddy roll cage installation(rusty floorboards), etc. it made more sense to me to make a more civilized car since I was going to have to restore the car anyways.

      • I don't like talking about finances on public forums, but I will just say that I did not spend anywhere close to what you guys probably think I did.

          • What make of dog box, straight cut? How km since the last overhaul (recommended every year if tracked and every 2 years if street driven)
            No build thread.

              Evil:

The pump must be either stock with Reinmax gears or an N1 because it looks stock and very clean compared to the rest of the block (so I think it's been messed with). AFR's are 14.3 to 14.8 at cruise and a nice safe 12 to 12.2 under full scream. The D-Jetro is running sans 02's so I think it has the ability to fine tune the vacuum at cruise. I took a roadtrip in Sept. and on a flat bit of ground I had the tracer on and I could see the PIM voltages cycling less and less and less with the vacuum rising all the while. I think it was searching for the best vacuum to give me 14.8 AFR. Not bad for flying blind without 02 feedback.

At 1.5 bar I have to backpeddle the car in 3rd gear to gain traction and 2nd is completely useless....LOL. I hope that will get better with the 245f/275r 17's I will have on her next year.

wait!!! isn't 11-late 10's at wot an ideal mixture??

              • It completely depends on your particular setup. I can get away with that because my system breaths so well that there isnt as much heat soak as a system that needs .5bar more to do what I can do. For most people 11.5 should be more than safe, if not you gotta relieve the heat somehow, better intercooler, bigger exhaust, bigger cams..... I dont include water/meth in there because i firmly believe that there are better/safer ways to hit a HP goal and not risk blowing the ring lands off the pistons if the meth fails.

It's always a trade off...more response/power the more heat soak, the richer you need to be...to a point of course.
