LOL! I've got to get the car running first for my move, It all depends how much time I get to work on it..... But well see what happens when I start cutting the trunk out for the fuel cell, mabey the grinder will slip and I'll cut the light mounts off and I'll have no choice

you can run the stock BOV's as Atmospheres just remember to plug the recirc pipes otherwise you will get a big leak of air. or remove the whole recirc assembly and block off recirc pipes near turbo side.

yah I plan to plug the reserk off at the turbo!

and the stock fuel gauge is 80ohms BTW, so I have to use another fuel level gauge,

I'm chopping the back end tomorrow, I marked and drilled today

LOL, ok ok, I got some more parts needed for the fuel cell, and parts to re-do all my vacuum lines.

This is what I needed to cut off....

It sure was a lot easier to work while standing in the trunk

Next there was alot of little clips and old license plate mounts and rust not needed on the back.

I then needed to paint the raw metal, so it wouldn't rust like before, believe it or not, a can of red rust paint from canadian tire matched almost perfectly , you still can see the lines from the old paint, but it will all be covered by a body kit, and whats left above the rear tailights will be cut off for the conversion (sorry guys I'm going to get the car running before I am going to change the lights so I can drive it.....it's been a while)

along with flat black in the trunk to stop rust there

The fuel cell just barely fit in the back, but I will have to move the stock fuel lines (which I planned anyway, but the tank can't fit untill then) and what I didn't plan on was the tank sitting so low. When I put the rear end on and mount the tank flush, it hangs about 2 inches lower than the kit and the sump hangs 2 inches lower than that. So I either mount the tank as low as I can and have the tank sticking below the body where the fittings will be exposed, or I bit the bullet and mount the tank 4 inches higher and have the kit hide it and build a rear diffuser..... any opinions? remember it's going to be a weekend warrior, and I don't want cops to see -8an fuel fittings from behind me.
And before anyone asks why I cut so much of the trunk out is cause I'm going to mount the pump as low as the sump so I'm going to build a box beside the tank to hold the pump/filter and lines; then cover the rest of the hole with aluminum.

I also found MORE rust when I was back there..... in the wheel wells, so more fun next time. Thats all I got for a weekish, cause I'm packing the house and working on the car, so it has to cut into my car time for now:roll:

I took out most of the rear steering unit today....

The only problem I had was the bolts wouldn't fit through the holes all the way, so I had to add some washers....

I finally got my A1000 pump and controller in you can see the size difference from the stock pump; and it's heavy...

The only things I'm wondering about is the warning on the pump controller says if your using forced induction, you might have lag with the controllers response, so you should tune the ECU to accomidate... Does anyone have any experience with these controllers? With a stock ECU am I going to have problems with lag and going to have to use to full time switch?

I painted most of the I/C plumbing, with the exception of one that was Way to rusted.....

My final problem is the high of the tank, if I mount it where I want it, It will sit soooo low that I will have to build a rear diffuser so it doesn't stick out so low. If I mount it 3 inches higher, then the body kit will hide it, so I think I'm going to go with mounting it higher....

Heres the pics of the tank higher...

Not for a bit.... I found another I/C piping to replace the rusted one..... 200bucks! So I decided to break the bank and get the HKS I/C piping kit. Oh well, I only wasted a couple hours painting the old piping....

I'm not going to post any new pics for a couple of weeks or so, I'm going to draw up some mounts for the fuel cell and getting the last of the parts I need for now to get the car back on the road.

I honestly must say that you have made me like the R34 conversions on R32's. Very well done and I'm looking forward to seeing the continuation of this build. But first things first: does it have the 1000HP Chip?

LOL nope no 1000hp chip yet let me know if you find one

Thanks! I am really impressed with the BeeR kit myself, once I get the rear conversion done, I'll be really happy. I havn't driven an R34 before, but from the reviews the R32 is suppost to be funner to drive and lighter, besides a few engine flaws that can be fixed I'm really happy with the R32. I just really like the looks of the R34 better, best of both worlds.

When I get to the rear end conversion, I don't think it will be too hard from my initial measurements, cause the BeeR rear end is so much wider, their is a lot more room to fit the lights without have to add height to the trunk. It should just be some cutting into the trunk and the rear overfenders and some new mounts (sounds easy, but will still be tough).

I'll post some more pics of the tank in the trunk soon. I'm just working on a sturdy design to mount the tank and house the pump and stuff. I'm looking into sourcing cathodic protection, teflon should be good.

Does anyone know where I can source some teflon strips? Greggs distributers mabey?
