  • I left the CD Mike made me at work but i will post the dyno slip i have it in PDF format... i was running 94 octane gas and the water meth is 50/50 and it has 2 plenum injectors for the meth one at the front of the intake mani for 1-2-3 and one i the middle of the mani at slight angle pointed at 4-5-6 both medium sized. I am running 1.8 bar but it seems to be creeping up to 1.99 bar which kinda worries me lol so i have turned down the boost controller a little till we get that sorted but when it was cranked holy sh*t it felt like the front wheels or wheel left the ground on me in second gear at like 7500rpm and pulled my car to the right and my steering wheel was straight, probably the front left tire getting 50% torque lol gotta get some diffs... the build happened pretty quickly and every minor mishap that did happened and that will happened it doesnt matter when you get your car back & its finally done and put your foot into it, thats what makes it worth it.

On another note the stock boost hoses are hating there life right now and are trying to pry themselves off everything... so i've taken a bunch of clamps off and replaced them with t-bolt clamps and they hold nicely. great upgrade... and yes stock boost piping is fine at 500whp... proven (knock on wood) also stock blow-off valves in with the re-circ hooked up also is fine all the way to 2 bar but holy they sound so wild at that pressure, total flip from stock boost pressure. the meth is great lol... well at least my car loves the stuff and bottles are cheap at Lordco (Staff discount)! The 1 gal container will last 2 tanks of gas approx.

Next on the list is some suspension and maybe a rear and front diff cause i now really need them both the rear is tired...

Also my roomate installed a fused on off lighted switch to disable awd into rwd just before the dyno and truthfully i havent used it yet i dont feel comfortable with the power yet and dont feel like roasting my rear tires just yet (They are getting low though)

Enough ranting pdf dyno slip will be posted

I was thinking that you were running 2871R's like me, but I see on the first page your running 2860-5's. Is that correct??

                • 510AWHP? No headwork I'm certain. somethings odd. I witnessed someone pull 531WHP with slightly smaller turbos (journal bearing at that!), no head work, 91 octane, running AFRs in the 11s and the boost at 1.4bar if I recall... been over a year since then. What kind of dyno where you on? What was your AFR like? you're running MAFs?

What dyno was that on? Keep in mind that you can't compare numbers between dynos.

Curts was 510AWHP on a very conservative Mustang dyno at RG Racing! And it was tuned on pump gas, not race gas. His car would read at least 585-610+ on a dynojet on pump gas.

If Curt was to race a 531WHP car tuned on any other dyno, my money would be on Curt!

To give you another comparison, other GT-Rs with Curt's turbos and no cams or headwork won't be able to break 330AWHP on this dyno.

Nice run! I guess my car was on there before I bought it. Pulled a mere 246awhp or something weakish like that... heart breaker dyno lol.

i could be wrong. Wingnut, help me remember!

Lightspeed's Mustang is 2WD, not AWD. If they were running the GT-R in 2WD mode with a diff controller, then you'll see higher HP as there is less driveline loss running RWD vs. AWD.

If you saw it on their AWD Dynapak, then yes, their numbers will be over-inflated vs. the AWD Mustang Dyno as the Dynapak is not an Eddy Current dyno (i.e. it can't simulate real-world load on the car). The 530HP pull you saw would read around 425-450HP on the dyno Curt was on.

In the end, peak HP numbers are somewhat meaningless anyways! The torque curve (power band) and driveability are far more important! And the Mustang dyno is the best tool to use for optimizing power and driveability!

Either way, Curt's got a monster, and I hope he'll bring it to Mission sometime this summer to see what it can do!

If you want to know a little more about the differences in types of dynos and why they read differently, here's a good link:

General 1967-2002 F-Body Tech - Dynos: Mustang vs Dynapack vs Dynojet - I thought about posting this in Advanced Tech, but we'll see how this goes. What sort of dyno, in your opinion, is the best ? It is my understanding that Dynojets give the highest horsepower readings, and that most people prefer them for that...

Thanks for the clarification. I was a little confused that's all. Curt's car does sound like a beast!!
